Yeah I hate to admit it but living in Perth I have no choice .If West Coast win we will never hear the end of it & the gloating about how they managed to win even though the AFL had a conspiracy to make it an all Victorian Grand Final nah I live on the other side of the country & won't have to put up with the gloating Collingwood supporters . So I'm not barracking but hoping Collingwood win

Dude, I grew up in Melbourne too....hating Collingwood. But.....after living in Perth for 10 years...anyone but WCE, even Collingwood. The most insular, myopic, ignorant, arrogant, ungracious, gloating, unbearable fans in the country. Just unbearable. Ask anyone who lives there and doesn’t barrack for them.

I happened to be watching a bit of cricket from the WACA today after the Eagles won and Kim Hughes was commentating. Quote, “it’s a great day to be a West Australian”, as though the Weagles winning is cause for everyone in WA to gloat........there’s an uber fishbowl parochialism there like nothing else. An us versus the rest chip on the shoulder that is just awful.
May they get reamed.

ok I'll cut some slack for those who have had to endure the Weagle peanuts over there and have been mentally scarred. they are an insular mob with a chip bigger than SA. this happens all over the world..east vs west etc.they are little brother to the East coast despite their mineral wealth and dont like it I get it. But anyone here in Vic who hopes the skunks win I find that totally reprehensible.

I am taking in consideration those on here who dont mind getting selfies with Joffa

Seriously mate, they are unbearable. I’ve had Weagles fans tell me straight faced they should have 16 home games a year so they only have to travel Interstate the same amount as everyone else. Most of em have never been to a game outside WA and think everyone’s home games are like theirs. Zero comprehension of the culture of a city with 10 teams and a chip on their shoulder the size of WA to boot.

A lot of Perth folk are getting all salty that the AFL apparently didn't put in a cent to build Optus Stadium, but 'Gil McL is crowing about how advanced and great the stadium is.'
