Re: Monster deal for Dylan Shiel
Well more of a reported rumour on CH7 than reported to have been made.
At least he is the type of player that we should be targeting.

Re: Monster deal for Dylan Shiel
If Treloer cost Collingwood 2 first rounders then Shiel would have to be worth the same.

Would be a massive coup if we managed to reel in Shiel. Fingers crossed!

He's worth it, exactly what we need! I won't be a happy chappy though if we give up anything for Hanners....not worth the risk.....HE IS COOKED!

Re: Monster deal for Dylan Shiel
It's not really a monster deal... and actually sounds like classic saints, offer up about 10% over his market value and expect him to come to a bottom 4 side with the cho steering us all the way to the bottom.
We'd need about 12 million for 7 years to get Dylan, but maybe lethers is mates with liam shiels dad? We could get him a lot cheaper.

I approve this message.
He's worth it.
It wont happen.

AFL.com reporting that Hannebery has told the Swans he wants to be traded. Looks like we've got him.

We need to show Shiel around Brighton, Sandringham, Hampton, Beaumaris etc, a magnificent part of the world. Then ask him if he really wants to live in Brunswick, Tullamarine, Waverley or indeed the sh*thole that is Western Sydney!

Re: Monster deal for Dylan Shiel
That offer will be easily matched by Carlton and North (should Gaff fall through).
Hawthorn and Collingwood would also be able to get close enough, the difference gets made up by th fact that they’re “destination” clubs.
We need to up that offer to 1.5 mill to be any chance.

Re: Monster deal for Dylan Shiel
If Shiel asked to be traded to us GWS would want Pick 4 and a player, probably Gresham or Steven. Gresham is essential to our future and Steven is the heart and sole of the club right now....but Shiel would be our best midfielder for the next 5-6 years and probably has 7-8 years of footy left in total.
Maybe something like this could be fair
Pick 4, 2019 1st round Pick for Shiel, Pick 12, Pick 23
They may be interested in Savage, Lonie or Longer as well who we could throw in as steak knives. We would get our big fish, and get two picks in the top 25 this year while GWS get a huge amount of salary cap relief, massively improve their first draft picks for two years and pick up some cheap depth
