Hard to be critical in times when hard earned can be spent on many things.....handing it over to a mob like this to piss up against the wall ain’t that appealing

How much will it cost to move him on ?
Staff salary cap breach penalty included ? The payout is included in the cap.
Maybe we're out of favours with the Kremlin Bank ?

Hey Enrico, maybe you should look at your tag line "we are the custodians of this club" .....supported saints for near on 50 years, seen what i thought were the hardest of times but to be honest have never felt so much despair for my club as i do now.Enrico_Misso wrote: ↑Mon 03 Sep 2018 9:55pmSo will I.derby Street wrote: ↑Mon 03 Sep 2018 9:45pm Well I will be renewing no matter how p1ssed off I am with the club.

if being fair weather is taking a stand for the club you love because some morons in power don't have the balls to fire the worst coach in the AFL , then i will wear the fickle fair weather supporter badge with f**king pride, i have been with the saints for a lifetime and i will be to end of days but i wont be there anymore whilst this clown coaches our club, the members have a duty to vote with there wallet and let this board know we wont take this s**t anymore, Richo is a dud, he has lost the players and most of the supporters and has to go ASAP.

I also have followed them for over 50 years (though I don’t look as young as you) and been to over 800 games.brewski wrote: ↑Mon 03 Sep 2018 10:43pmHey Enrico, maybe you should look at your tag line "we are the custodians of this club" .....supported saints for near on 50 years, seen what i thought were the hardest of times but to be honest have never felt so much despair for my club as i do now.Enrico_Misso wrote: ↑Mon 03 Sep 2018 9:55pmSo will I.derby Street wrote: ↑Mon 03 Sep 2018 9:45pm Well I will be renewing no matter how p1ssed off I am with the club.

In that period I have witnessed some pretty bad times.
A “custodian” doesn’t walk away when things are tough!
I was at each of the first 3 games of 85 when we lost by 363 points.
But I still went the next week and kept going, kept supporting, kept buying my membership.
If our core supporters were all fairweather supporters then this club would have died in just about every decade in our history.
I’m not happy with Richo either (see my posts) and I think the club would be MUCH better if we parted company.
But walking away from the club and going into hibernation until the board makes the decision you/we are seeking is not the way to do it.
You can put pressure on in many other ways – write to the club protesting (I did), venting on social media will also be noticed, sign the petition, ask a question at the AGM etc.
By all means have a hissy fit, but please don’t abandon your club in a dark hour.

i too was there in the so called dark years but always remember having a feeling of hope, and it was pretty cool seeing some of the greats of the game playing in our jumper even though we suffered massive losses, its just i dont see that hope anymore.
I do disagree with you on one thing and that is the constant acceptance of mediocrity cant be tolerated, we need to make a stand, another year of Richo would be diabolical and the only stand we can make is financial

It’s not about being a surrender monkey. Blind loyalty dies with childhood for mine. You put in I’ll put in. You stink the joint up like this year you can stick your membership and GAGF. Joint is a basket case and the laughing stock of the comp.

Aren't you the member who voluntarily gave up his/her membership before this season?
I've been reading your 'negative posts' for years and I don't believe I've responded to them often.
But your constant criticism of everything/anything the Club does as a 'seeming justification' of your giving up your membership has become tiresome.
How about instead of complaining ad nauseum on here about anything/everything you contact the Club and complain to them?
You are entitled to your opinion on here (as is everybody) but the 'broken record of whining' you've been posting for years has become boring. IMHO if the 'joint is a laughing stock' it's due in some part to the piss-poor support of members/supporters like you.
How about you go give your type of support to another club/ Afterall if the Saints are so bad what are you still doing following them?
(I don't know you personally so this response from me is purely about your posts and not you.)

I'm a die hard so no matter what I will always be a member until they cease to exist as the St.Kilda Football Club( no mergers ,no relocation) but thats just me . I can understand supporters frustration & if they have had enough & want to call it a day I can understand that too .I'm frustrated, confused & angry with what's going on at club but if we all pull the pin we don't have a St.Kilda Football Club

Serious question to you.
Why are you so angry with the Club/team when you when you walked awy from them pre-season because of exactly what you are complaining about now?
Surely they have just, to your mind, confirmed your abandonment of them, so why the angst?

Re: Membership Renewal
It’s an interesting predicament and not one that’s as easy as just saying ‘hey you’re a fair weather supporter bugger off then’.
The point that’s being lost here is not that you’re giving up on the club because you’re fed up, it’s about promoting change.
I’ll be honest, for the first time in my life, I’ve thought about not renewing... not acted, not decided, simply thought. I’m a 20 year member from the 90s.
Is it because I’m fed up with not winning a flag? No. We’ve had chances, we’ll have more. Is it because we’re losing... I’ve seen losses and finals droughts before.
Here’s the scenario, I don’t trust Richo’s judgment. As I’ve said before I have significant concerns about the way he structures the team, about selection integrity and his ability to problem solve.
The fact that we’ve been unable to establish a primary ruck in 4 years is one and that Pierce looks like he could be the best of them and is unsigned having played the last 3-4 games purely because all other choices went down, and he’s played 5 games in 5 years... well that’s many different types of wrong.
In addition to not trusting Richo’s judgment, it’s now increasingly speculated that a mass of our talent in Steven, Billings, Acres, Dunstan, and Gresh (all have been name dropped) are to leave if Richo isn’t moved on.
In addition to this, as a club we appear to be the least appealing we’ve ever been since the early-mid 90s when I started watching.
I am legitimately concerned that Richo staying on will seriously put us back.
I don’t work for the club... the only way and I can really demonstrate this concern in a way that would be taken seriously would be not to show support for the current regimen. It doesn’t pay to support a broken system.
Again... just a thought. I’ll pbly renew... I hope to heck the club will do the right thing though

Re: Membership Renewal
I'm in a similar boat. I'm a 20+ plus member who will probably renew but I don't go to games - it's just too boring to watch. I didn't even bother watching the last game on TV. It's easily the most boring team playing the most boring footy I can remember. And I went to every game in 2000 / 2001 so I wouldn't say I'm a soft supporter.skeptic wrote: ↑Tue 04 Sep 2018 5:58pm It’s an interesting predicament and not one that’s as easy as just saying ‘hey you’re a fair weather supporter bugger off then’.

There's no chance my wife will renew though. I can't convince her any longer and she's a 10+ member. I can't quite justify to her why we should pay $550+ for her membership when she's lucky to go to one game a year.
