Tom Scully out the door

Post: # 1754559Post parkeysainter »

According to four eyes Barret, GWS might be forced to move on Tom Scully due to cap pressure.

He is on big $'s, but I would take him in a heartbeat. Still only 27 and can run all day down the wings.

Not sure what is happening injury wise with him, but he would add alot of hot curry spice to any midfield if he is good to go in 2019.

He left Melbourne because they were a horrendously poor environment with questionable development.

Even though I too would love him - I'm not sure why he'd want to revisit 2011 again with us.

He's a much better fit than Hanneberry FWIW

I don’t care what bollocks he said in the media. He left for one reason $$$$$ and to be honest would be an amazing inclusion to any team. His name will be linked to Nth Melbourne soon lol. Seriously, do they even have a salary cap?

Do we need to employ his father as a recruiter?

North has millions of free cap space it seems. Seriously, their overtures to players has become embarrassing. Polec on 750k...fairdinkum.

I would take both in our midfield.

Barret also reckons Lonie has been told to find a new club.

I’d be going to both Sydney and GWS and saying you need salary dump we will pick up the full contracts but won’t be offering much at the table, then go back to gaffs manager and up the ante and say hanners and sculls are in as well.Get hanners, scully, gaff. Finish with polec and pittard for a 1st round exchange of picks.
There is instant improvement, instant leadership and renewed hope for all supporters..... we gave cap space let’s roll the dice. Get these 5 this year and watch the climb.
If guys want out trade them take ports 1st and a few 2nd rounders to the draft.

I'd be happy if St Kilda got Polec for $750k

Why get Pittard who would be another average HBF.

Webster is now much better than Pittard.

I watch about 4 or 5 GWS home games per year.

Scully is the best runner I have ever seen on a football field.
He is the modern day Robert Harvey getting from contest to contest.

I actually think he is underrated as a player, but when you have Kelly & Sheil running around in the same midfield that tends to happen.

We don't have a player in Scully's class, including Jack Steven.

If they want to dump him, take on his full contract plus some more incentive and give them what they want.
