I was hoping we drafted him in his draft year. Does anyone know why he was delisted? And is he worth a spot on our list?

Kieren Collins was a very good lock down defender in the TAC and VFL.
He lacks some speed and agility for AFL and he he does not read it well enough to overcome those deficiencies.
At best he’d only be a role player in the AFL.

Appreciate the info hayes66. Was hoping it was something that we could work with. But doesn't seem likely.
Cheers

Didn’t develop? Good question. More he was a big strong kid who didn’t have a lot of improvement in him.
Similar player to Nathan Brown except I don’t think he could play deep back. .
With Goddard going you could possibly look at him as a delisted free agent.
He would only be suitable for certain type of key forwards.

Injuries. Perceived immobility.

We might as well have kept Hugh.

I really liked 'Dad' Collins when he was drafted.

Not sure if it was injuries or early development, but he now moves like a 35 year old.
Would be replacing Hugh Goddard with a stronger, heavier model but similar speed and less mobility.

The one to watch on our list IMO is Battle, good endurance runner but lacks lateral mobility and has a wide turning circle. Could turn from a Frigate into a Battle ship if he beefs up or gets soft tissue injuries.
