Mentioned on SEN this morning; in talks with Saints re development / assistant role. Would be a good get ... he did a lot of good work at Richmond developing players.

Yeah get him in.

Sorry, but having blokes like Ratten and Williams under Richo looks a lot more legit than what we have had in the past decade.

I like it. Premiership Coach: 55% W/L over 274 games including 3 minor premierships. Dominated us as a Coach in both the GT and Lyon eras.

Ironically the odds on favourite to get the position only to be pipped at the post by Richo... horrible decision

Also, his daughter is dating one D Shiel...

I thought he was a nut case and that's why we didn't get him as coach 5 years ago?

Some wise old heads, that's a move forward.
Perhaps GWS could credit Sheedy & Williams for their first couple of years to stabilise the club
Gold Coast went the untried coach route and have fallen to pieces.

Would be a great get. I hoped he would coach us back before we appointed Richo.
With him and Ratten at the club we should certainly improve.

Bring it on - then let them fight it out for elevation to Senior Coach next year.

Hells - the assistant coaching panel is starting to look more like it should have done years ago.

Classic image. The man still hopefully has the passion for it.

Our Assistant Coach Recruiting is looking a lot better than our Player Recruitment at present (Let's hope their is a hidden diamond traded in).

That’s one of those comments that made me laugh at first... then made me a bit sad

i was all for him 5 years ago. then at the last minute we made a typically saints mistake and took richo instead. williams went to the tigers. and here we are 5 years behind the times.

We needed off field sorted before we can work on the onfield stuff.

At least the cogs are spinning very fast.

It actually gives me hope we can get some decent FA’s - surely they can see Richo has a noose around his throat now and the strings and inching tighter.

Choco in a development role in the red, white and black... Terrific get if it happens!

A lot of negativity about the 2018 season (rightly so) but so much going on at the club now for the better because of it. 2018... blessing in disguise. Go Saints!

Gee I hope this story is correct and we land Choco. Just what we need.

Don’t reckon they’ll be ‘under Richo’. Surely not. Getting blokes like that suggests to me there’s a bigger announcement to come re coaching.
