The word Spud is not required. There are no spuds playing AFL footy, especially when referencing Paddy.

Plus Paddy should be given until 2020 - end of his contact - to prove he can play over 150-200 games for the club. I'm backing him in for 2019 and 2020 at this point. When he gets a run on he goes pretty good.

Firstly, I don't think he's a spud. I think he's being terribly coached and very poorly taught.

Secondly, Why would they give a contracted player the arse?

Much like his No. 1 Draft Pick alumni, Jack Watts, the chance he comes good is worth more to us than anyone would pay in a trade.

Imagine we traded him to Geelong for a pick in the 40's, then he has a breakout year and plays the way we thought he could when we picked him. As bad a pick he is proving to be in hindsight, things would be so much worse if we let him go cheap and he comes good.

Agree I think it’s vital for next few years as we actually have some kids that IF developed properly could really come on

Being developed in an attacking team, with Oliver, Gawn, Viney, Jones etc. around him though, and hey presto! He appears to be coming along Ok.
