A petition for the mods here to delete your account may also be in order!

Re: Online Petition for Richardson's Resignation
Interesting that 6 people(?) have signed the petition - but no-one has put their hand in their pocket to fund it.
I know that at one stage I said that I would contribute - but only if it was a board decision to do terminate the contract, but they couldn't afford it. And it was also a dummy spit!
It will be interesting to see if anyone actually stumps up money to the Crowd Fund Me page.

Re: Online Petition for Richardson's Resignation
signed with this very short comment added:
"this coach is uninspiring, sounds like a cross between Peter Dutton and Forrest Gump.
Under his watch, the club has had its worst results in decades and gone backwards.
A "full" review of the footy department did NOT include the coach, therefore rendering the review
a sham, a farce, and totally unprofessional.
The "coach" needs to resign to remove his toxic influence on a club I have supported for many years."

Re: Online Petition for Richardson's Resignation
The amount of people signing it is actually what is the real priority. I didn't think financial donations would be important, unless I was hoping for hundreds of thousands to sign it.Sainter_Dad wrote: ↑Wed 29 Aug 2018 5:48pm Interesting that 6 people(?) have signed the petition - but no-one has put their hand in their pocket to fund it.

Re: Online Petition for Richardson's Resignation
the AFL have just put out an article about "If Clubs Could Turn Back TIme."
http://www.afl.com.au/news/2018-08-29/i ... _110558200
Sums up the season pretty well
- Woeful Foot Skills
- Puzzling Selection Issues
- No On Field Leadership
Whos fault is that if it is not Richardson.

Re: Online Petition for Richardson's Resignation
Couldn't really be bothered but just in the first para:
Top 4 team by 2018 was a goal as part of a strategic review by the club from the President down - not just “promised by Richo”
“Forced” retirements of Nick Riewoldt and Leigh Montagna - unsubstantiated
“Entire” season of listless football - that is your view - not all listless - a few good games, quite a few good quarters, overall disappointing I agree.
Other statements are just your biased view such as Goddard and Freeman treated with "utmost contempt" - process carried out by all clubs every year in the same manner.
Anyway, good luck with it.

And your opinion, I will treat just like my body treats "takeaway" food.
It's digested, although it's very short on anything substantial, and passes through my rectum and into the rest of the effluence.

Re: Online Petition for Richardson's Resignation
Although I’m less than happy about the way the club has gone this season,I won’t be signing the petition. I understand precisely why Sainternist is so angry and frustrated, and if starting an online petition helps him to express those feelings to the club, then who am I to criticise?
With respect, rather than sign an online petition, I would prefer to see ALL members bombarding the club with emails and letters demanding an extraordinary General Meeting of members, and let the BOARD and Coaching staff conduct a Q&A with members!
Let these guys know, face to face exactly what WE are feeling, and how angry we are at the manner in which the club has drifted from potential top eight to basket case!

Re: Online Petition for Richardson's Resignation
I think a petition is a good idea - go fund me doesn't really work because the club has made no indication they would accept the money - so what actually happens to any money that is raised ? it has nowhere to go so when is it refunded ?Sainternist wrote: ↑Wed 29 Aug 2018 5:57pmThe amount of people signing it is actually what is the real priority. An online petition just like a letter to the club as per jiggster is a 2018 way of actually getting your voice heard - there must be thousands of posts on here and BF by people saying they think Richo should go - They are publicly available posts just like the petition - if you are happy to post you should be happy to sign a petition - and if Richo or his family see it - they could also read the posts -

Re: Online Petition for Richardson's Resignation
What a "great" idea. Let me just interpret the intent here. Alan Richardson, or one of the management at St K, reads this petition, assuming of course they even hear of its existence, and goes, "Oh, I had better resign."
Ah, no.
Ah, no.

There is something about this type of web activity that just doesn't seem to fit acceptable social standards. Just can't put my finger on it.

Re: Online Petition for Richardson's Resignation
It took 43 names on a petition to get rid of Turnbull. He then released those 43 names to the media.
It should take 44 names to get rid of Richardson (he is clearly more competent than Turnbull)
44 names and you are gone Richo. But you are allowed to reveal all those names to the media.

Re: Online Petition for Richardson's Resignation
As much as I think Richo doesn't the ability to coach at AFL level & should be relieved of services as coach of the St.Kilda Football Club I really don't think that a petition from supporters is going to carry much weight on Richo's couching future.
