Crowd Funding to Help Richo Make Like a Tree...
And leave.
Came across this last night. Since the likes of Peter Summers seem unwilling to pay out Richo for the remainder of his contract, perhaps the supporters can instead?
https://www.gofundme.com/pay-out-richo039s-contract
P.S. For those who may find this offensive in some way, I have nothing to do with it. Don't shoot the messenger!

Re: Crowd Funding to Help Richo Make Like a Tree...
I can't say that it's in great taste but unfortunately - this is the position we're in where our 'Coach' is openly derided by his club's own fans. It actually says everything about how our fans view their club's leadership both on an off the field. The off-field crew noosed our necks with this extension decision and presumably for reasons of ego (and the debt they've mountainously ballooned) are unwilling to take responsibility for it and act accordingly.
There is not a sporting organisation on the planet that would accept a five-year winning record of 35% with no finals. We've snookered ourselves into a corner and the anger towards this farcical situation is both being reacted to and voiced against by the fans.
You can't really blame them - regardless of the poor taste of the protest action.

People can be disenchanted and not like him. No dramas there, but a go fund me campaign to raise 500k is f****** BS. This sort of thing is for a kid that has cancer for example, not to get rid of an AFL coach.Saintmatt wrote: ↑Mon 27 Aug 2018 5:32pmI can't say that it's in great taste but unfortunately - this is the position we're in where our 'Coach' is openly derided by his club's own fans. I find it offensive and embarrassing. I just hope Richo's wife and kids and his family don't see such rubbish.

Hyperbole much? You sound like Alan Jones. This is merely a statement. It's something which should be taken very seriously by the club, too. Remember, as members, we are effectively paying his wages.parkeysainter wrote: ↑Mon 27 Aug 2018 5:36pmPeople can be disenchanted and not like him. Re: Crowd Funding to Help Richo Make Like a Tree...
Agree. Fuelled by the ongoing obfuscation and head in the sand BS from Richardson and management. His last message of the season was loaded with more meaningless platitudes and a stated intention to conduct a thorough review leaving no stone unturned. Except for him, the thing that needs changing the most.Saintmatt wrote: ↑Mon 27 Aug 2018 5:32pmI can't say that it's in great taste but unfortunately - this is the position we're in where our 'Coach' is openly derided by his club's own fans. Re: Crowd Funding to Help Richo Make Like a Tree...
I don't see why it is disgusting, or in poor taste.
His Holman's messages are disgusting- he trots out the same Peter Dutton-style political garbage,
trying to sell schitt as Dairy Milk Chocolate.
"We will coach strongly"
what the hell does that mean?
you can't trot out a nice emotive word and think it will do the trick!
It's shallow, juvenile, amateurish, meaningless...
He has taken the entire club backwards, and we are WORSE off than we were under Watters.

Is it any surprise? I honestly cannot recall a St Kilda coach hated more than Richo. He is despised by 80% of our supporters.

Agree with you WS. A bit of a lame stunt with no hope of succeeding, but just a reflection of the total disenchantment with Richardson and his empty vanilla spin. “We will coach strongly”......does he have any awareness at all do you reckon how lame that sounds? It appears not. It’s just a platitude. We’ve been hearing all year about ‘strong responses’ and they’ve amounted to zip.WellardSaint wrote: ↑Mon 27 Aug 2018 7:59pm I don't see why it is disgusting, or in poor taste.

tony74 said that a few weeks ago, AR did or said something were he had to stand up in front of the whole playing group and apologise.st.byron wrote: ↑Mon 27 Aug 2018 8:09pmWhat we’re seeing is his lack of authenticity and trustworthiness. When I went to the 2 Perth games (I live in Perth)
i had binoculars on the bench.
Richo tried to speak to the players on the bench; every single player had this look on his face that said
"WTF will you just shut the f up"
"mate, I am so over you"
I handed the binos to other Sainters near me, they were gobsmacked at the body language displayed by the troops, to their fearless but misguided general.

He has taken the entire club backwards, and we are WORSE off than we were under Watters.
But it is a way for a supporter to vent their intense frustration at the ineptitude of our style of play, and the stupid decision of our board to extend AR's contract for two more years without any results based evidence.
And after the most disappointing year in decades there is absolutely ZERO reasons to be more optimistic about next year as the coach has totally failed to articulate
- why our style of football has been so inept, indirect, unskilled, hesitent?
- what were the reasons we went so far backwards?
- why after 23 rounds and 5 months none of the above issues seem to have been addressed?
- and what is going to be done differently over the summer and into next year to improve things?

Re: Crowd Funding to Help Richo Make Like a Tree...
I'm sorry but I respectfully disagree. This gofundme page is clearly a joke - for the record, there's plenty of these pages set-up for stupid, non-essential purposes; largely to make a point - but, it is also a fair reflection of where our fans see their club's football leadership. We are bereft. It's what people do when they see no meaningful hope of change and quite frankly, we're not being offered any assurance or a plan as to how things will get better.parkeysainter wrote: ↑Mon 27 Aug 2018 5:36pmPeople can be disenchanted and not like him. The coach is a bland, inarticulate, boring, apologist, platitude-serving dribbler on AFL360 and in his weekly Holman's message who just embarrasses our club, himself and our fans. It's beyond laughable and has become truly cringe worthy. Is creating the gofundme something I would do? No. You would do? Clearly no. I've met Richo a few times and I think he's a nice enough man but who's now way out of his depth in his role. A role that our supporters are (directly or indirectly) paying him to do. But - I can understand the position of others who did create it and whilst I don't support the method I find it hard to disagree with the reasoning behind it.
I wouldn't be delighted if Richo or his family saw the page either but you know what? I would be ecstatic if our delusional, incompetent Admin and Board saw it because they've largely created the coaching noose we now find our necks in. They are the ones who need to truly understand the level of genuine anger, resentment that their actions and inaction have caused.

Just excuses for a childish and immature campaign which was probably created by a 12 year old. That is the level of intelligence and maturity on display here.Saintmatt wrote: ↑Tue 28 Aug 2018 1:48pmI'm sorry but I respectfully disagree. I would be ecstatic if our delusional, incompetent Admin and Board saw it because they've largely created the coaching noose we now find our necks in. They are the ones who need to truly understand the level of genuine anger, resentment that their actions and inaction have caused.

Re: Crowd Funding to Help Richo Make Like a Tree...
I guess it was a mistake trying to reason with you in an intelligent and respectful manner. What in the hell was I thinking? I need to leave the room and give myself an uppercut.parkeysainter wrote: ↑Tue 28 Aug 2018 3:33pmJust excuses for a childish and immature campaign which was probably created by a 12 year old. That is the level of intelligence and maturity on display here.Saintmatt wrote: ↑Tue 28 Aug 2018 1:48pmI'm sorry but I respectfully disagree.
I find it offensive and embarrassing. I just hope Richo's wife and kids and his family don't see such rubbish.

I'm truly sorry for not agreeing wholeheartedly with you and look forward to you flying your next 'sure thing/rumor' trade that you heard 30 seconds beforehand on the radio.
