Re: 5 years Dan Hannebery?
Even before the injury last night Hannebery was not good.
If we trade anything of substance for him we are incompetent.
He is passed his best. Seriously what is he currently offering apart from experience that our current mids do not have?
As it stands he is just another slow mid. Arguably sower and less nimble.

Re: 5 years Dan Hannebery?
Another stirling 12 possession game by Dan... and ended the year with one goal... DH is so far past it the Swans must be pissing themselves at the thought of doing us over...
His game is well below ANY of our current midfielders it's got to be a joke... Armos in better nick..
if DH was on our list already the firum would be alight with suggestions to get rid of him
He ain't the player he was and it's doubtful he ever will be again
PASS. Please

Draft Lloyds younger brother from GWV Rebels
Might be able to get him with our 4th round 2nd pick

Re: 5 years Dan Hannebery?
With Hannerbery's current lack of form and injury record it would be pure madness signing such a player to a long-term contract on large $$$$.
To trade now at anything more than a greatly discounted deal would be more madness.
With a list in the state that our is this is a high risk boom or bust play that reeks .
Supposedly our other main deal is for Lycett who at best is a minor upgrade. Again a long-term deal for an injury prone player that is only a so-so ruckman?
Please oh please can we stop having people with no real football judgement being the key players in our list decision making?
While no football trade or pick is without risk, can the Saints at least at this parlous time avoid high-risk plays?

Re: 5 years Dan Hannebery?
Last qtr.... nice little break and run from him.. Then he turns it over with this, well miskick...
Gresh and Carlisle are the only untouchables on our list IMO.
Hannebery at this point would be lunacy unless Sydney are paying him.

If we give up Acres or a first round pick for Hannas I’ll be Fkn sick.. seriously..
Acres is underdone now but prior to injury he was looking the closest thing to an A grader we had.. it would be a total indictment on our Admin..
This club is a complete mess, but surely we couldn’t give up Acres or a first round pick for this guy... don’t get me wrong I want Hannas but a 2nd round pick and salary dump is the fair trade

Re: 5 years Dan Hannebery?
Sydney posters on any board you want, rightly savage on Hannebery after his 12 disposal 41% efficiency effort on the weekend.
Before anyone jumps in to say just how injured he has been and how he copped a corkie during the game I'll summarise what they had to say.
Fringer. Doesn't go in anymore.
Pisses off his team mates with his constant yelling at them and carping and negative body language.
Painfully slow.
Can't kick.
Shouldn't have been selected.
But we don't need to take any notice of rusted on fans calling for him to be dropped for the finals because anyone who has watched him for the past two years can see what he is as a player.

Re: 5 years Dan Hannebery?
This was a particular favourite at the very bottom of a long rant bigfooty rant, one of a few in similar vein, rating all the Sydney players.
"Last and certainly the least is Hanners. The Tainteds can have him for a stale Sayo bikky. I do not care if he is playing hurt or out of form but it is his abusive attitude to team mates, his unwillingness to contest and 'Johnny Come Marching Home' limp from when he ran onto the ground that loses me. He should not pull the jumper on again."

Hanners is not finished. Not by a long shot.

Re: 5 years Dan Hannebery?
There’s no way he’s coming for nothing.
It will be a future second rounder or we’ll have to trade for one eg Jelly baby to Geelong for their second rounder.
But If Hanners is our gun recruit....jeez

Re: 5 years Dan Hannebery?
Unfortunately he is very close to it. He may come up with the odd good game, like Armo, but like Armo, OP and other factors have taken a heavy toll. He’s s passenger.
Why should we be patsy’s for the shocking decision by the bloods to contact him for the next three years at 800k pa?
Never.

Re: 5 years Dan Hannebery?
You’re spot on. Not just a laughing stock with Sydney supporters either.
Everything about this deal stinks from the nepotism and cronyism of Lethlean to the snowjob, softening up that the club is trying to put out to supporters.

Re: 5 years Dan Hannebery?
You would hope it wasn’t, if for no other reason that all we have in the bank before the trade period starts is pick 4 and a pick in the fifties.

Re: 5 years Dan Hannebery?
If the club takes this guy for pick 3 or 4 or whatever later pick, it is really and truly headed for oblivion.
Sheer madness.
To even be discussing this guy as a trade, considering where we are and what we need to rebuild into contention, is just plain f....ng crazy.
for God's sake listen to the swans supporters who know.

Well reading the Swans board he should fit right in with Richo's gameplan:
Last few games ..
I haven’t screamed more in anger at watching him play.
He’s been way off the pace/tackle pressure, delivery of passes/kicks..
Turning the ball over, resulting in opposition scores.
Looks like a perfect fit
