Why? Why? Why?
Why,
when we mark after a quick breakaway do we hesitate which gives time for the opposition to man up on our loose men who have run hard to get in receiving positions, thus forcing us to go wide or backwards and completely lose the advantage of a quick thrust?
Why,
when we chip the ball around and switch play do we suddenly lose patience and rather than keep switching till a loose man option upfield emerges, do we then just bomb it usually to a 1 on 2 contest which results in a turnover?
Why,
when we have won a contested ball in traffic with a couple of quick close-in handballs do we then handball to an outside player who is mostly under intense pressure resulting in a turnover or ballup and the advantage is lost?

The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.

Because we know, the coach knows, and the players themselves know .....
They can't hit a target by hand or by foot.
They have been recruited with no know concern for their ability to execute these basic requirements.
The only way the ball is going to end up with a team mate is by going backwards to a player without an opponent.

The more you know, the more you know you don't know.
When I was a young child, I knew that I knew so much about so much.
Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.

Its because we have a non-existent game plan. After years of no player development, poor football culture (lack of work ethic and approach to the game), our players are often hesitant and uncertain, therefore leading to sloppy play.
Our players have skills, demonstrated in a number of games over the years, but gradually, that skill and confidence has been eroded over years of Richo's and the whole footy department's incompetence.
