His record is fairly good all round but not sure of his coaching success as in flags for Richmond and Port adelaide whilst he was at those clubs. Would have a better resume than some of the coaches just sacked at the saints.

Liked the way he played his footy. Never took a backward step in a contest.

If we gain him, and in particular Ratten, these two will be a significant upgrade on two of the coaches that they will have replaced.

The two between them will add a lot of experience to our coaching panel.

He actually had another year to run on his contract at Port. I thought Richmond wanted to retain him but Port chased him.

Sorry don’t follow . To me Lade is strange appointment after past 2 seasons . I think the contract extension is the only thing saving AR as AFL has said cannot sack him as we are tipping so much $ in
