+1 bazillion
Loyal club servant blah blah but quite frankly, I'm completely and utterly over loyal servants and those whom provide 'leadership' who cannot execute the most basic skill in football (i.e. a kick to a target when under zero pressure).
Go you red, black & white warriors

Re: trade/ delist predictions
Dylan Roberton no way. He's 27 and was All Australian last year. Richo said yesterday they think he will be right to go next year.
The rest seem about right.

Re: trade/ delist predictions
I guess it depends on how many free agents we can get in and which players clubs are keen on in our trade offerings.
We need a full list obviously. Can't lose out more than we get in.
So until we know what interest there is in players it'll be hard to say.
However I agree with most of your list OS but I'd keep Dunstan myself. There is the issue there with the incumbent coach I realise.

Only if we peel them and put them through the chip maker first.
The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Re: trade/ delist predictions
Hugh Goddard. Spent the whole season at Sandy and the reports have been increasingly promising.
Injury gets him a game in a team with a depleted backline, little support... SHOCK HORROR... he doesn’t do well.
Now ready to be delisted

Disappointed at that...saintsRrising wrote: ↑Fri 24 Aug 2018 8:45pm According to Plugga Connellan has been told he will be delisted.
Thought the kid showed something on multiple occasions.
Still I’m comforted to know that over the last 2 years, instead playing him even once... Weller got to play 30 mediocre games instead

That is my mail as well. Not happy about this, as I thought he had a lot of attributes that we need...especially real pace. Unlike other teams, we do not seem to be able to develop these Irishmen.....or give up too soon!!saintsRrising wrote: ↑Fri 24 Aug 2018 8:45pm According to Plugga Connellan has been told he will be delisted.

RE Connellan, do you think not playing him hindered his development?

Re: trade/ delist predictions
If you invest so much in Freeman due to injury then if you are consistent surely Goddard is worth another season?saintsRrising wrote: ↑Fri 24 Aug 2018 8:45pm According to Plugga Connellan has been told he will be delisted.
Especially considering he was starting to get some consistency and improvement at the feeder level. Ok so he didn't set the world on fire for his first game back at AFL level. Isn't he the obvious choice to push for Nathan Browns spot?
I'll believe it when I see it, re delisting.

Goddard still in the frame ?

Goddard is just over his injury I'm assuming.
Surely we keep him in the frame for 2019?

We can’t develop good kids from the U18 comp. What hope do Irishmen, Yanks or any other non AFL background individuals have at our club?Scoop wrote: ↑Fri 24 Aug 2018 9:17pmThat is my mail as well. Re: trade/ delist predictions
Goddard didn have a few ok moments.
But he has consistently improved t AFL level been slow to react, he is usually just one step too far behind or in front to spoil effectively or mark.
Compared to Brown who many trash on here, hes a long way off. Brown has smarts. He knows hes slow so he stays close to his opponent and often gets a spoil or bring the ball to ground. Hes no rebounder and is a tad old.
I think Goddard has not had a break, he has been injured a lot. He is not being delisted, fact. Logan will likely get a spot if he has a strong preseason. Clarivino is improving slowly and a few others are coming as long at about the same pace as Goddard.
I think he gets one more to show his stock.

Re: trade/ delist predictions
Went to 3 Sandy games this year... thought Goddard played really well in 2 of them.
Am certainly not ready to cut him off based on one AFL game
