I don’t mind Hannebery but not under any circumstances for pick 4

Re: 5 years Dan Hannebery?
Very much doubt we will directly give pick 4 for him. If the Swans have to let him go due to salary cap issues and to try reinvigorate their side, then we should play hard ball a bit. A future 2nd rounder would be more reasonable IMO.longtimesaint wrote: ↑Sat 18 Aug 2018 7:40pm I don’t mind Hannebery but not under any circumstances for pick 4

Who gives a s***... he hasn't been good for two years.parkeysainter wrote: ↑Sat 18 Aug 2018 7:20pmIts his 2nd game back after a long lay off and he would not be completely match fit for obvious reasons. Zero evidence of gut running but instead a demonstration of how he fails to get to contest after contest.
Worse, watching it with a room filled with Swans supporters all of whom of course are embarrassed but gleeful at the prospect of gettinv anything at all for him, leg alone palming off his 800k for the next three years.
If he is fit, he is easily in our best and starting midfield. End of story.

Re: 5 years Dan Hannebery?
If they want to clear their 800 K salary cap by getting him out, then we take him for free, as if he is a FA.
We'd be doing the swans a big favour.
He may be short term help and leadership, but won't be around for the start of the next big push.
That won't be for at least 3 years.

What crime has Dan Hannebery committed to deserve a sentence of 5 years at the Saints?

Re: 5 years Dan Hannebery?
It wouldn't surprise me if you were actually on our recruitment team.
Armo @ 30 is playing better at the moment than Hannaberry has for over 2 years, but we think it's a good idea to sign him up for 5 years on 800K.
haha - get it done with our first pick saints

I am sorry for accusing you of having any potential slither of significance, that was an absolutely absurd concept clearly, which I wholeheartedly retract.parkeysainter wrote: ↑Sat 18 Aug 2018 11:08pmStop making stuff up Con.

Re: 5 years Dan Hannebery?
Yes you’re right he’s towing the establishment line PS. He’s contracted at the Swans for another 3 at 800. We’ll have to wear that even if we spread it over 4 years with a “trigger”.
Why would we take the risk he can get back to his best?
Why would we view everything through the prism of his current ‘recovery’. He’s put together many sequential games in the past two years and never looked like an 800k player.
OP
Slow
Poor kick

Re: 5 years Dan Hannebery?
After another ordinary game by Hannebery this weekend I am getting nervous.
Yes up to 2016 he was stellar. The last two seasons, even allowing for injuries he seems to be back in the pack somewhat.
So if we are going to pay top $$ and even worse a high draft cost that would include our first rounder I would be quite depressed.
If it is a salary dump by the Swans and we get him for a more reasonable trade deal based on his last 2 seasons and not on his past glories then ok.

Re: 5 years Dan Hannebery?
I’ll just gloss over the bitching on here for a minute, reckon just let the medicos do what they do it’s 2018 ffs St Kilda surely can’t say she’ll be right even if his body is cooked.

Re: 5 years Dan Hannebery?
Of course. The medicos will go over him with a fine tooth comb if the club ends up making the call in definitely wanting him.
People just make stuff up on here. To say we will just take him without due diligence and pay him 800k a year for 5 years is utter rubbish.

From BF
Sydney have strong interest in Acres - I can see him going there and being a gun big bodied Kennedy mid that we just couldn’t develop.....deplorable if we allow this talent to walk

Re: 5 years Dan Hannebery?
Is he though?
Or is he simply being used in dumb positions (ruck) and just not being developed properly as a genuine big bodied mid while we keep playing Mavs of the world?

Too right...he'd have to learn how to tackle, chase, block, shepherd, tap the ball to advantage, recognise his opposition or even stand the mark before he can become anything like Kennedy!parkeysainter wrote: ↑Thu 23 Aug 2018 10:17pmDon't think that will happen.Teflon wrote: ↑Thu 23 Aug 2018 9:54pm From BF
