That waste of space cost us a place in a grannie in 1991. Cleaned up Burke and Grant.

Good footballer, disgraceful human being.
Opposition supporters say the same about Plugger, if Ablett played for us, you'd love him!!!!! ;)

Good footballer is understating it a bit!!!!!
You have got to be kidding me. Love that prick?

An old has been like him who gave heroin to a young girl telling her it was cocaine and then leaving her to die.

Never.

You ever met Plugger? I have. As nice young man as you would ever want to meet.

And you want to compare him to Ablett FFS?

And yes, Plugger is a great bloke off field, on field different story, but have met him several times, apologises, I thought you were referring to on field only, my bad, misread what you wrote!!!!!

You are talking about the match at VFL Park, was it 91?
Played Geelong and it was Plugger's first final, missed 3 set shots in the first 1/4 which he never did.
Ablett cleaned up David Grant and the back flank and Burkey on the members wing from memory.

Great, great player, s*** human being.

Plugger was definitely a quiet almost shy guy to speak to, unless you brought up Kenny & Huddo, he f****** hated them, could barely speak their names without getting pissed off

I remember being at that game - so devastating. I've despised G.A. Snr ever since.

We lost by six points didn't we?

Not sure. I remember Brownless kicked a bag full on Paul Harding, a ruckman we played at CHB.

We finished 3rd that year but under an unfair finals system we were out after one loss.

I think the next year Harding lined up for the eagles.

I agree with you on Ablett though. These days he would get 8 weeks on each charge.

Can we assume Kenny is Ken Sheldon and Huddo is Peter Hudson?

May I ask why Plugger was not fond of them?

We lost that final by 7 pts. Plugger kicked 9 till three qtr time but didn’t get a goal in the last qtr. Dropped an easy mark in front. One of the allltime great finals games

Giblett Snr cleaned up Granty and Burkey which buggered out structure. The maggot spent the rest of the game very quiet and out of the play.

Loewie had an absolute shocker of a game which led to the loss as Geebung were able to move Stoneham onto the GOAT after the GOAT had seen off 3 opponents. And unfortunately Stoneham held the GOAT goalless in the last and we lost

Ablett Snr definitely a sh-- human being.
He retired from football but all the Geelong supporters at work said he would come back as soon as the support payments from his divorce were settled by the court.
He did not want the wife getting any football income.
Sure enough after the court settlement he resumed playing.

North have money to burn like St Kilda but a better team.
Essendon maybe.
But never rule out Collingwood or Hawthorn once he makes it clear he is available.

If I remember that game Danny Frawley played on Ablett where ever he went all over the ground and shut Ablett down.
Ablett would have spend at least half the next season out of the game if today's rules and penalties had applied.

Gaff might now want to stay in Melbourne as his father is seriously ill.

https://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/ ... 298645a3c3

"THE father of West Coast midfield star Andrew Gaff is seriously ill after having surgery yesterday as a result of a heart issue earlier in the week.

Paul Gaff, a leading Melbourne tennis coach, remains in hospital.

Gaff has consulted a handful of top-50 ranked tennis players as well as coaching the Carey Grammar boys tennis team to an APS premiership.

Booroondara Tennis Centre director Warren Maher confirmed to the Herald Sun today Paul Gaff had been involved in a major heart scare."

I think they may be interested given Leuenberger is the wrong side of 30 and not overly robust (Bellchanbers will be over 30 as well)

I heard that Gaff was shattered when his team mates won the big dance today. Had they not won I think he would have stayed however, now that the weagles have won he may want to go to a club with other players that have never won the big one. So, Saints bound??

He looked shattered afterwards.

Having just tasted a bitter pill I think that it will strengthen his desire to win a flag and make him less likely to chase cash alone.

Not sure if any of the likely finalists for next year can mount half decent offers. If so I would not be surprised to see him now nominate one. ie Hawks would probably love him as a FA as they have little to trade for players like Shiel or Wingard.

Hopefully though the Hawks offer is hugely below other clubs like us. North rumoured to have been the favourites.

But the stoney way he looked post game it would not surprise me if he reevaluates how much $$$ he wants over success.

Certainly wasn't passing around the Crown Lagers during the medal presentations. Only has himself to blame for his demeanor; seemed to be out on the ground under sufferance.

I know it was a long time ago, but compare Gaff after the game to Big Carl out on the ground after the 66 GF. Both missed through there own actions but Carl was visibly over the moon while Gaff just looked like a po-faced prick.

The team on MMM radio in Melbourne seem to think he's going to Kangas

Barrett reckons the offer from the Kangas is 400K per year more than the Weagles. 5 year deal, so that's $2m extra over the five years. What would you do?

Yes. We want all our boys to have the personality of the Dalai Lama.

Playing ability is secondary to a superficial glancing judgment of player's perceived personality. I have it on good authority from someone over in the West that Gaff's dental hygiene is also not exemplary. His flossing regime needs a lot of work and there are some in the footy industry who are very unimpressed with him. I cant reveal my sources - but take my word for it. They are in the know.

Lucky we have Geary. A very lovely caring person. Some consider him the reincarnation of Mahatma Ghandi.
Yay US! We are so morally superior to all these other good teams. Boo you!

Thank god we arent getting old 'gummy bear' in our team and can still cheer on Gears and Newnesy every week. Both these boys are true team players who always brush and floss.

Glad he’s not coming to us.

Jesus Benny you're a miserable prick. In fact you are very similar to Con.Do you have anything positive to say about anything that relates to the Saints? It must be a bundle of fun at your home. I can't wait to hear (NOT) all the negative and crap things the saints are about to do in the upcoming draft.
