5 years Dan Hannebery?
Robbo said it was reported and Richo said he would be surprised but it certainly seemed like we were interested given Richos response

Just on twitter by Sam Maclure also.
If fit would be great, if like last 2 years injured then huge risk.
Can he coach too?????

We’re not going to get Gaff so, given you have to pay someone ... it might as well be DH. On one leg, he’s still an upgrade on what we presently have

Parkeysainter, can you confirm if we are in the box seat for Hannebury?
Proudly assuming the title of forum Oracle and serving as the inaugural Saintsational ‘weak as piss brigade’ President.

Re: 5 years Dan Hannebery?
He is super courageous.
But his body is now paying the price.
Looks like he is now struggling to get on the park.
Would have loved to get him 5 years ago.
With his pedigree we will have to give up our first round pick.
Can see the whole thing blowing up in our face.

Re: 5 years Dan Hannebery?
Hannebery is reportedly one of the most intense trainers at the club and in football.
Brings everything we need.
Playing through injury this year. So get FA so will need to trade players in to get some momentum rolling.

Re: 5 years Dan Hannebery?
Hannebery's 2 years into a massive 5-year deal signed on the back of his 3rd AA selection. Given his recent history, it'd be a huge risk to take him on, let alone satisfying whatever Sydney might want in trade. If it's a salary dump for an unusable pick, fine. Our war chest of cap space is just air anyway. Giving up anything of actual value for him would be just plain dumb.
Yeah nah pleasing positive

Re: 5 years Dan Hannebery?
Just on SEN we are balls deep into him.
Had an ordinary year this year but finished in top 5 in Brownlow 3 times in the last 5 years.
Played in 21 finals and 3 Grand Finals.
Experience and leadership we need.
Word is he is open to coming back to Melbourne.

Will cost us, trade would be on Swans terms, no outside speed either!....IluvHarvey wrote: ↑Mon 06 Aug 2018 9:58pm Just on SEN we are balls deep into him.

Re: 5 years Dan Hannebery?
Some on BFsaying his knee is stuffed though currently it is a calf issue that is keeping him sidelined
Great player when going but how often is he now going to get going given his injury history
Could be another nail in the coffin for the club if it doesn't work out

1. A second round pick (which we would need to trade for) and swans foot some of his contract or
2. A selection/mix of later picks possibly 2 or 3 3rd and 4th rounders as the Swans are desperate for academy points for John Blakey’s son. Obviously this would have no payment relief attached.

Box seat? No idea. He is a Melb boy and is open to coming home.

Great. Another one paced inside mid. Whatever happened to the outside run?

Re: 5 years Dan Hannebery?
Well, they parted with Tom Mitchell. Then again, only a ultra-shrewd club like Hawthorn could manage that sort of trade.
Trust St Kilda to be the chump.

Re: 5 years Dan Hannebery?
We have lost Koby Stevens already. Armitage and Dunstan's futures at the Saints are up in the air IMO.
That only leaves Jack Steele as our only inside mid. Seb Ross too if you want to count him as one.
Maybe we do need Hannerbrey if we lose Armitage and Dunstan.
Hannerbrey when fit would be the best mid in a current Saints side.
