Hickey was one of our better players until he went down, which coincided with them getting a run on. Fact is even when injured he was more useful around the ground than Longer has ever been.

Dropping Marshal for this game though was a huge mistake, shown clearly when Battle went down we were stuffed.

But was it last week or the week before where he backed himself in the contest, took a strong mark and kicked the goal... I thought to myself well done. Good effort.

It’s very rare that any one player is all good or all bad.

Usually if they are, it tends to point to an internal bias.

And that’s you.

Even when Hickey does good things on the ground, when he gets praised etc you can’t even bring yourself to admit it.

‘Qualified’ or not your opinion is not worth reading. Hickey beats an opponent you say it’s the result that matters.
Hickey plays in a win you say beating the opponent matters.
Longers’ % of wins is lower, you say the numbers matter

I don’t rate either personally but I can at least watch a game and provide an unbiased view of what I see.

You lack objectivity. And everybody see through you... and it’s boring.
