Awful performance . Richo has absolutely no clue. 2nds coach playing in the big league. An assistant at best
Finnis and Summers are non existent. So what's the point in having them.
Low understanding of running a footy club. Yes may be Finnis was ok at players association but horrible at running club. Summers an accountant no presence or leadership. Where is the accountability or direction. Left to the ring in Leathhen to start the change

Resign tomorrow . You know you have failed horriblely

And who would you pick to have a better season in 2019? Lions, Blues or Saints? Yeah - exactly. Wooden spoon locked in for 2019.

The Doggies had 9 players with < 50 games experience.
Average age 23 years 10 months.

Just saying.

Billings, Dunstan, Newnes, Acres, Sinclair have all been around a few years but gone backwards this year.
All tradeable.
Underlying reason??
Exactly
Because they are all ordinary players. Stop kidding yourselves about these guys. They are all 5 years into their careers and haven’t stepped up. May have some currency at trade table now.

I don’t buy it. That they are all uniformly not up to it. Where is player development? The coach is about as inspiring as a limpit. Five years and we are deplorable.

Stepping up? There are too many poor performing players to blame individuals.

A few players being off happens... When nearly entire squads are off at once other factors must be looked at.

Whichever way you spin it, AR was comprehensively pantsed after qtr time. We looked like superstars... Bevo changed a few things, we looked like amateurs. Richo had no answer.

Clearly Richo is incompetent but like most things it starts with the guys that do the hiring and support

Finnis and Summers. You know what you have to do

What is going on - the commentators said that Kingsley was making all the moves up in the box while AR had direct contact with the players down on the bench. It didn't work on both counts.

Yep and this in my opinion shows the flaw in the argument for those who support tanking. We deliver this rubbish, and then expect a number 4 or 5 draft pick to drag us up off the canvass next year. Compare that with us winning by 50 with the kids playing well, and feeding a number 6 draft pick into a team on the rise. We should always want the Saints to win. I find it incomprehensible that any StKilda supporter would ever want a Saints team to lose.
I find it incomprehensible that any saints fan would think this rabble is capable of beating quality opposition by 50 points with kids starring???

Just delusional
We lack talent, elite skill (see Bontempelli tonight???) one of our best and right now only options is to draft well
I’ve had a gutfull of papering over the cracks wins
We are deplorable and maybe we are seeing players vote and say they too have had enough??

Again Riicho shifting the blame. Im on the bench like NIL of other coaches. We are losing big time . Sit in the pilot seat and land the plane. Don't be a passenger. You were hired as the leader. Pls show some.

don't over think everything. Bottom line is we suck. Poor skills, no structure, can't tackle, pass, handball, kick, shot.
On a plus Lethelean is clearing house so that is a big step forward

And on top of all that we are on Friday night footy against Essendope next week. How embarrassing is that going to be?

He is bereft as a leader...it’s been on display for quite some time now, but unfortunately there are still people making excuses for him. He’s embarrassing...

We’ll soon see if Lethlean is the house clearing messiah by his actions and I’m not talking a few dud assistants
Or if he’s a board puppet

It's not how it works. Lethlean reports to Finnis; he just can't do what he wants.

Not quite what I’ve heard
Lethlean has direct links elsewhere I suspect if it’s as bad as it looks then the necessary changes can happen

So Lethlean has discretion to do what he wants and can go over Finnis’ head?

How does that arrangement work exactly?

Sorry but no amount of 'development' is going to make Newnes, Sinclair, Dunstan, Billings etc great players. They simply aren't.
Unfortunately, the coaching is as good as the list.

This is a deep dark hole that requires huge changes in the club to escape from. Either way, it's going to be a horribly long road.

I won't be renewing my membership with the likes of Newnes on the list next year. But I'll definitely come back if I see some competent decision making moving forward.

Time will tell.

You never worked in corporate before??
Lol I’ve seen it happen often
Do you really think Lethlean would not be talking to Gill if the fish is rotting from the head?
If Finnis is smart he’ll know this and support the necessary changes or pressure mounts on him
There’s always the next career move to think of Matt..

Richo has sat on the bench most weeks now. How can you direct play from there. Don't see Clarkson, Hardwick, or any other coach on the bench 5 weeks in a row . Unless they are scared. Richo is shifting blame. Awful trait .... take responsiblity

We really are a rabble if that is the way we operate - and I haven't seen it too often and I do work corporate. I did see it once and that person was given the heave -ho by the CEO :D
