It looks like Freeza is in as a backup ruckman.

Marshall is stiff to be dropped.

Has been showing something each week and worth persisting with.

Also makes the side very short with so many small players .....Gresham, Lonie, Armitage, Freeman, Sinclair, Billings etc

Both Marshall and Battle had quiet games last week, if they were going to drop one I thought it’d be Battle.

3 other good outs though.

Shame about Marshall - just keep playing the kid!
Good to see Freeman finally.

Are Gilbo's papers stamped?

Will we see him play again?

True....but it may well have been the price to give Freezer a game with Marshall out Acres can mainly play forward which allows Freezer to play wing/midfield.

So think of it more as rotated out than dropped.

Plus the Doggies ruck division is not the strongest.

I also like having a more nimble team.

Marshall is very stiff, I thought he ‘d done enough.

Pity we didn’t roll the dice and give Paton his debut along side Freeman.

If he announces his retirement, last round and I wouldn't begrudge him that.

Absolutely. Gilbo's been a warrior. The last of the class of 09/10.

A shame he hasn't been able to get a good run at it this year and recapture something closer to his best.

Love The Gilbo, but I'm afraid his time might be up. A great warrior for our Club.

I've been calling for Mav to have a spell in the 2nds for a couple of months, and I'm not a huge fan of Savage, I would have been fine if they were both omitted.

Marshall didn't exactly set the world on fire last week, but I reckon he's an ideal 2nd ruck. Not sure who has that role now, as Gilbert would have been my next choice.

I believe he got the injury when he was told he would be dropped.
It is called injured pride.

Marshall should have changed his name by deed poll to McCartin.
He would have been guaranteed this game.
But Marshall was taken as a rookie when McCartin was taken as a No1 draft pick.
Rookies don't get the same chances even though everyone is equal after they are recruited.
When you are a first round pick you get more chances because the powers that be are reluctant to admit to a mistake.

That would make sense.
If they can get him injured they get an excuse to cut him from the list.
But it looks like Battle will have to pretend to be a second ruck.
