Bit dubious at first due to his infidelity issues, but I really like what I'm seeing from Lethers. He is making changes and has just got started.

With respect whomever got the gig was going to make changes. It was always the gig that the incoming person was going to review all aspects of the football side of club and then implement change. It is not something that he independently decided to to do, but was rather the job that he was given to do.

Good to hear an extended interview with some genuine comments being offered. Being an insider, Lethlean was guarded, but nevertheless, offered an insight into things about the Club and wow, do we need the upcoming changes. The big challenge is "will we make the hard decisions." My view is that being a "Club," the internal politics and protectionism will prevail. Watch for mid-level movement only !

Certainly nothing revelatory there; also that wasn’t really his fault - the interviewer sounded like she was on work experience and totally starry eyed.

Get the feeling Lethlean is pretty keen to clear out the junk, which is good. Then again, it’s patently obvious, so let’s see what he’s capable of engineering.

Also get the feeling he feels the club is almost too far behind to catch up in the next decade or so.

One gripe? He’s a private school/VAFA obsessive, so naturally gave the list manager’s job to James Callaghan. Heaven forbid any senior AFL staff weren’t born with a silver spoon - they’d be sacked in seconds.

Why are people on here obsessed in not liking people at the club that have a private school background or come from a good family or are high up in the business world? Who cares on someone's background. As long as they can play footy, coach or run the club well in their position then I want them.

I couldn't care less if whoever we draft went to Frankston High or Scotch College for example.

I think the list manager is an unknown - I’d have preferred some real experience...just me...so on that alone a question ought to be asked

There is nothing wrong with questioning the club at all, but who really cares on a person's background or where they came from? Its irrelevant as long as the bloke isn't a product of the Manson Family then its all good.

Haven't heard the interview so was curious.
