Re: freeman
A one week hamstring injury for any player is like a 12 week injury for Freeman - ridiculous
If he is that fragile then time to delist

Re: freeman
He's the type of player that will keep getting injured in the vfl - inferior grounds crappier disposal (if that's even possible for us) but play 100 games straight in the AFL. Get him in there!
As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”
St Kilda - At least we have a Crest!

Re: freeman
"He was certainly in the mix earlier in the week, in our early match committees," Richardson said.
"It's not a physical issue now, it's a footy issue and whether we think he can help our team.
"Has he played in the manner that we think he can support what we're doing out there?"
You cant be fking serious..... if he cant get a game based on footy reasons now, then wtf did we spend a decent pick on him for?
How much longer can this sh*t spinner continue for?

Here is a question - What are we actually doing out there??
What about bringing him in to give the team and club and supporters a lift and get everyone fired up
No thinking outside the box it seems
He deserves his shot - play him - he couldn't be doing any worse than Newnes or Weller or Wright or Dunstan even

Re: freeman
Freeman is a monument to our inept recruiting.
A recruiting department that seems obsessed with taking foolhardy risks.
A recruiting department that thinks it knows better than conventional wisdom and expert opinion.
Exhibits A and B (or M and F)
- let's use our #1 pick on a player with a chronic health issue which will prevent him ever reaching the fitness levels required for an elite AFL player
- let's pick up a first round pick from a rich club with unlimited medical resources that realised their man had massive ongoing hamstring issues because we think we know better and can somehow fix him

The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.

Would feel greatly let down as a supporter if he is fit and is still being held back.

Re: freeman
Guy's like Richo don't have the power or the backing of the powerbrokers at this club to make decisions.
The decision to play Nathan will be taken away from Richo and I reckon he'll do a backflip
I have a feeling that Richo told us what he personally believed, but that doesn't count for much and Freezer will make his debut this week. Let's see if I'm right. The only thing I can think of that prevents Nath from playing is that the club isn't interested in a win ( I don't mean that without Freeman we lose, and that Freeman will be the difference as a player in the mix. I just think the morale boost to the team will be huge )

Re: freeman
How can we have any faith that the club will know when the time is right?
What have they done to suggest that they will know?

Re: freeman
They have set him certain goals (KPI's) to tick off!!!!!
He has played football, so that's more than Collingwood could achieve, the wonderful, professional organisation they are, according to many on here!!!!!
So, the reality is, that's a big tick for St.Kilda!!!!!

Re: freeman
It isn't his fitness anymore it is whether he is in our best 22 and by all accounts he isn't there yet. He is close for sure plus it sounds like he has lost some of his speed. I'd be surprised if next time an insider gets dropped freezer wasn't picked

Re: freeman
Correct, KPI's include more than just fitness, last weeks VFL form by any of our players is over rated, as we played Coburg and only managed a draw, not a solid form line by anyones measure!!!!!DJ Higgins wrote: ↑Thu 12 Jul 2018 3:33pm It isn't his fitness anymore it is whether he is in our best 22 and by all accounts he isn't there yet.
