Rice should not have been dropped. Club needs a clean out of selectors at the end of the year

As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”

I believe they're doing there best under difficult circumstances. The Fireman wrote: ↑Sat 07 Jul 2018 9:02amif it helps in team selection I surely will.... any other way you would like to contribute to the topic on hand. ?elizabethr wrote: ↑Sat 07 Jul 2018 12:52amHowabout you reppapraise your site relevance. The Fireman wrote: ↑Fri 06 Jul 2018 9:37pm Rice should not have been dropped. Re: Official IN and Outs for PA
well I don't, we won't win the flag so we must play the youngsters and need to get games into them...Rice is improving and if you want some players to make a difference in 2019 start now. Look forward to more of your relevance.elizabethr wrote: ↑Sat 07 Jul 2018 10:55amI believe they're doing there best under difficult circumstances.
There is absolutely no point imho "playing the kids" in a team structure that's obviously out of whack. You've got to induct them into something that makes sense or you might as well leave them where they are. This constant "play the kids, play the kids" ear-bashing seems like just an excuse to criticise the selectors whatever they do.

I agree structure is important so play the right kids for the structure, playing the kids under the senior coach and on the big stage I believe will fast track them...we have nothing to lose.freely wrote: ↑Sat 07 Jul 2018 1:26pm There is absolutely no point imho "playing the kids" in a team structure that's obviously out of whack. the flag is not an option so that is what I would do.

I’m sure Paddy + Billings try their best with every shot on goal... doesn’t mean I don’t want this to get better

Weller and Longer spring to mind. Tremendous 1st quaters by both. Wright has hardly ever lit it up eithersaynta wrote: ↑Fri 06 Jul 2018 1:19pmSaintmatt wrote: ↑Fri 06 Jul 2018 12:45pmYou make some really good points but, I just don’t see the point in NOT getting games into our better young players right now. It’s the perfect opportunity to accelerate development and I think we’re squandering it on some proven spuds.BringBackMadDog wrote: ↑Thu 05 Jul 2018 10:48pm5 weeks ago everybody said that there was no hope for Dmac but he has re-ignited his career in the last few weeks, surely Wright deserves the same chance, whats the worst that can happen? he fails he gets delisted, Rice will obviously be there for the long term so will White, and CoffieldSaintmatt wrote: ↑Thu 05 Jul 2018 10:16pmDamn straight. I mean - knowing that I rightly received a warning for accusing Richo and his Match Committee or being on meth - I would be mentioning that again.
But I still can’t work out how - in what’s turned out very early to be a development season - we see fit to give games to complete proven no-hopers (ie Lonie; Wright) and players who’ll not be there when we’re good again (Gilbert) yet leave Coffield and White (a-fu€king-gain!!!!) whilst simultaneously dropping Rice (who I haven’t seen do much wrong in his recent run.
You’d think the talented youngsters would get much better much more quickly playing at the level surrounded by better players.
Call me crazy ....
Just who are the Saints "proven spuds"?
Go you red, black & white warriors
