Last time I checked we aren't restricted to only selecting one FA or trading for one player

Also plenty of mid talent in this draft not just at the pointy end

Jez McGov would absolutely strengthen our backline and Mitch would add absolute x-factor to our forwardline - bye bye Weller/Newnes and Brown

Trading out Pick 4 or 5 to Adelaide and receiving Mitch and one of their 1st Round Draft picks back (currently 8 & 15) so say 15 could give us a Rozee or a Collier Dawkins - both are talented with a high ceiling

That'd be swell but...We are getting nobody. If we couldn't get anyone last year when we had a "war chest" and top draft picks to trade and just missed finals as a team on the rise...why the f@ck would anyone come now? Is it for Richo? We need to be realistic, dig hard through the scraps of the draft and nod undrafted players for gems - because they're there! Look for undeveloped players that cost little and take chance. Like Freeman, I've never been angry about taking him. Great recruiting. But wasting #1 on Paddy or Petracca when it could have brought us 2 or more picks or players? Foolish absolutely stupid.

If we get pick 2-5 we gave gotta use it to trade for some mids if we can get 2 players or pick for our top 5 - that's recruiting.

Hate the idea of paying massive money to McGovern. You could almost argue that what he does, Carlisle does better. Plus we have such a massive backlog of bigs.

Instead of paying a million to McGovern, why don’t we try Bruce in that role or give Austin more game time?!

We need to use big money to attract two things
A) A midfielder
B) A leader

If you can get someone that is both, great. But people like Josh Kelly are amazing players but don’t seem like the Luke Hodge, Nick Riewoldt, Joel Selwood type leaders... which is something we desperately need.
