Re: Do we Do Goey?????
thats 2 years to prove himself
and square away the 'debt' he owes the Maggots
for sticking by him
(which they were always going to do anyway)
we might be a worthwhile destination in 2 years
gaz ducks
as he backs out of the room

Re: Do we Do Goey?????
Interesting to read a journalist's assertion that North Melbourne's failure to secure DeGoey's signature makes thier claim of being a destination club a "disaster" and damaging to thier reputation due to successive perceived recruitment failures dating back to before the 2016 trade period to mitigate the supporter angst over the Brent Harvey axing.
Failed recruiting attempts include:
Isaac Heeney
Josh Kelly
Dustin Martin
Jordon De Goey.
$30 million being the total amount thrown at those players from thier so-call "war chest" over that period which is a little cheeky distortion by the journo in an attempt to dramatise the "disaster" assertion.
But an interesting take none the less after you strip back journalistic licence.
My take away is about getting the balance right between marketing, public relations and the reality of ambitions and capabilities...oh and also maybe dont get sucked into feeding all the seagulls.
