- if the Libs had won the last election, we would be there now, it was always the 1st option
HOWEVER ...
- we would have only trained there
- as much as what Geelong have is good, it costs them a ton of money to maintain the stadium
- Geelong gets $$ from the Government, which we would not receive

They are still confident of growing from Moorabbin, with a world class facility (once completed)
Also we apparently now have a much better deal at Etihad

- I'm now happy to concede that Moorabbin is the place to be

Had a fantastic afternoon at Moorabbin, the facilities look fantastic. The weights room is very impressive and double the size of the Seaford facility. the second building has the skeleton up and will be completed by November.
Richo and Lethlean answered the first round of questions, Richo was very open and forthright, he mentioned that they first thought that Roberton would not play again, he has a pacemaker fitted and is still not allowed to drive. There is some hope now that he could return next year.
I really think Lethlean will be great for the club, he is exactly what we need at this time, he appears very calculated and ruthless and will not accept mediocrity. He mentioned that there will be better coaching resources brought into the club to support Richo.
The Prez and CEO then fielded questions for a further 45 mins, talked a lot about the Moorabbin redevelopment and our commitment to planting our roots there.
mentioned that Sandy will play games at Moorabbin wearing red, white and black next season. Also mentioned that we will stay with the Sandringham affiliation and not field a stand alone VFL team, he said that we have repaired the relationship with sandy and we have a lot of control with coaching, game plan and no restriction to the number of players we can play at Sandy. He used an example of this from a few weeks ago where we decided to change our defensive strategies from playing off our direct opponents to playing on their back shoulders. One call to Sammy Hamill on the night before the sandy game and that philosophy was then used in the sandy game.

Not much to report. Highlight would be getting a free scarf.
RSEA Park looks impressive and is still growing.
Membership renewals usually sit around 90%. Down to 83% this year.
I think Lethlean is going to prove a good appointment.
Not sold on Finnis or Summers.

After being shown around the impressive new facilities, question time ended with some dude asking about going back to Junction Oval and how likely that was? WTF!!

Forgot to mention Nathan Freeman. Richo mentioned that Freezer should have had shoulder surgery but he refused because he doesn't want to miss a first game opportunity if it arises. His hammies are obviously feeling good.
