Re: Sack the Coach (revisited)
Just going on what some on here have written and what the club has said, it's not clear that Richo is the actual problem.
Hint: the new coaching structure/hierarchy clearly hasn't worked.
It's hard to make the call from the outside; impossible actually. Coaches who have been there before Richo probably need to go at the very least. Surprised they have lasted this long.

Re: Sack the Coach (revisited)
I agree the assistants are needing to move on, but Richo is the number one person to fire. He is ultimately responsible for the direction of the team. He has little to no game plan.
He seems unlikely to change.

Re: Sack the Coach (revisited)
I support Richo staying. Always said he wasn't the main issue. I reckon some of the assistants and players have let him down badly this year overall. Keep Playfair because he has just come in, but the others and development staff should be very nervous.

They can't sack everyone.
A few will be moved on and there will obviously be a reorganisational change.

Don't know, I reckon they may have been drafting the termination letter at 3/4 time.
Any or many more games like the Sydney game (and there will be if form doesn't turn drastically) and I think he's gone.

Re: Sack the Coach (revisited)
Ahh no. Playfair is the genius who decided we should switch to a zone defence and guard grass instead of men. Clearly had no idea of our inability to kick and hit targets.parkeysainter wrote: ↑Sun 17 Jun 2018 6:54pm I support Richo staying. Always said he wasn't the main issue. Bye bye Henry ...

That second qtr was disgusting. I was trying to explain to my son that it just looked like we were not trying and that teams shouldn't be allowed to transition like that.Linton Lodger wrote: ↑Sun 17 Jun 2018 7:10pmDon't know, I reckon they may have been drafting the termination letter at 3/4 time.

Re: Sack the Coach (revisited)
From the broadcasts it looks like D. Sexton and A. Kingsley try to lecture Alan and that he does not appreciate it. They may not like each other and that would make it tough for all incl. players. At one stage it looked like all confidence had been sucked from the players esp. 2nd. quarter, but something happened - new mid set up? Paddy up the ground? not sure, but the win should at least lift them from that horrible no confidence place they have been. Wonderful last quarter effort and all praise to the players - and any accidental inspiration from the coach. Go you mighty Sainters. So glad they remembered the song after so long.

We were awful for most of the game and let's be honest gold coast lost it. I still think Richo should go as we fell ass backwards over he line against a bad team. Not good enough

My guess ( for what it’s worth ). Richo, Skrobo, Sammy, and Henry will stay. But if the new ticket comes in

A real Sainter will pledge allegiance to the ❤ and despise the Pies, the Blues, and the Injectors.

His post game interview was just as undecipherable as one after a loss.
Look, one win doesn’t change anything but did you see the way the players and coaching staff reacted?
I know it was against terrible opposition and we have serious structural issues across the board, but the club badly needed a win to give the players and supporters some hope. Any hope. We can’t keep losing. Long losing streaks are bad news.

Re: Sack the Coach (revisited)
I still think he should go. A win over a bottom 3 side should not have changed anything. The players played 1 good quarter, he didnt motivate them in the first 3 quarters. The win may self motivate the players though. Got PA, carlton and Richmond coming up next.

Well, I am sure the club will keep your views in mind when they are deciding coaching positions for next year.chico2001 wrote: ↑Sun 17 Jun 2018 10:15pm I still think he should go. Are you actually a saints supporter or what? It's not hard to check who we're playing next and it's not those three - I'll save your brain - it's Melbourne.chico2001 wrote: ↑Sun 17 Jun 2018 10:15pm I still think he should go.
