Riewoldt as caretaker coach? Are you out of your mind? Why the phucking hell would Nick want to subject himself to such a gig?
St Kilda forever ( God help me)
Re: Resign Richo - it’s the circuit breaker we all need
The "rebuild" has proven to be a disaster. There are very few players who have developed to AFL standard. Plenty of goers but poor skills - can't kick goals; can't kick to advantage in one on ones; don't seem to collectively have football brains. So, stsrt again - find new recruiters and find new coaches. Coaches have to work with what they've got and Richos crew have not adapted. Start with Rich - even though he's noe coached 100, there's no evidence he'll be any beter in coming years. He's had long enough and he's yet another from the Makthouse stable to have failed.

If Richo comes out and says that we 'won' the last quarter and that it was a 'positive' - I will SPEW UP!
Like last week. The Swans switched off in the last.

The path to 2018 was a mis-print.
They meant bottom 4 by 2018.
On target.

richo stayed in coach's box for about 6-8 minutes after siren. Swans finished their silly song, cameras showed Richo in box behind glass, talking to someone, then he got up slowly.
A real Sainter will pledge allegiance to the ❤ and despise the Pies, the Blues, and the Injectors.

Re: Resign Richo - it’s the circuit breaker we all need
Sadly it's deeper than the coach and yes he needs to go
Our problem is we are in crisis - the change required off field is matched by on field and you can't toss out the whole club in 1 day - it's a complete transformation required
What I fear is we simply don't have the time - we haven't the support to hold out for decades in the wilderness where we are surely destined without the words "merge" or "relocate" becoming a serious consideration
We really do need a saviour and I'm not sure there are any serious enough about our club to take it on
What I do know is this board, coaching group, recruitment team et al need to be removed - people who have been there sometime like DAnny Sexton and Andrew Thompson must go
No more matey mate jobs
It's a big mess

Re: Resign Richo - it’s the circuit breaker we all need
Given that Billings was, quite rightly, dropped to the twos to find form, he’s going to have a lot of mates next week; starting with the whole coaching crew. I don’t know what they’re coaching but it sure isn’t 2018 AFL footy. Is there anyone at St Kilda who has any sort of skills under pressure? What are they actually training towards, because their skills are deplorable; their running to attacking and defensive positions is just wrong; their centre positioning is embarrassing; their strategies ro counter hard taggers seem non-existent. Every now and then they collectively lift and can compete for a while but then the goal kicking is atrocious, so they lose heart. Why is it a good strategy to defend from the defensive area after a behind, as opposed to trying to lock it in their forward half? Why is it a good idea to chip around half back when their skills ultimately cough it up and even if they don’t, all forwards are well and truly covered? Where’s the daring and desperate tackling? Why is Steele competing centre ruck contests - we’re absolutely flush with 200cm players -if they’re really no good, get rid of them.
Time to go Richo and give someone else a chance to turn the rabble into something competitive, before everyone wants to go elsewhere. Forget about attracting a couple of highly talented free agents-they want more than money -they want premiership chances and money.
I don’t want my team to either disappear or be relocated - fix it now Saints! You’ve made a bad call to extend Richo’s contract. Last year I could see they were on the right trajectory. This year I can see they’ve completely lost their way and we have a very confused group of badly underperforming players. We’ve got a very bad injury toll, and they really have a go most of the time, but St Kilda is just not competitive and the buck stops with the coach!

I’m sitting here waiting for the press conference waiting to hear those magic words, “I’ve just announced my resignation to the club and players effective immediately, thank you and goodnight”

Re: Resign Richo - it’s the circuit breaker we all need
"Last quarter was pleasing'
'Boys are hurting a bit'
"We have come off some good form in the last few weeks'
'Joshy Battle was positive'
'Boys might be a bit tired'.
'If we kick straighter and created some score board pressure - it might have been different'
Will get the usual crap from Richo.
Re: Resign Richo - it’s the circuit breaker we all need
Heard on good authority that Richardson has a 3 month payout clause in contract. Club needs to pull the cord. It will cost too much money in lost gate receipts and memberships. Give us some hope and change the game ... he has to go, too many members at their lowest ebb. Time is now.

I don't understand why everyone just wants Richo to go. He does have a group of assistants that are helping him get flogged every week you know. Just because you see his face on the big screen doesn't mean he has the only say. I would be pretty sure he has help in this team being as s*** as it is.
Maybe get rid of a fair bit more than just Richo. If they do just get rid of him get ready for more of the same because him leaving won't be the end of it.
