Re: Hickey dominated Nic Nat
I don't know what to think of Hickey.
Sometimes is like a 202cm BONTEMPELLI
When he is ON he is awesome. Does it all.
But then how could he be so bad in 2017?? What was that? Injured?

Re: Hickey dominated Nic Nat
Really? Hickey, against a once in a generation player in Nic Nat, who got 28 hitouts to Nic Nat's 18 doesn't do it for you?stonecold wrote: ↑Sun 03 Jun 2018 10:26amHitouts was 38-32, Eagles way, not sure what game you were watching but they had two Ruckman!!!!!bbm wrote: ↑Sun 03 Jun 2018 1:20amCheck the stats yourself.stonecold wrote: ↑Sun 03 Jun 2018 12:52am
Dominated Nic Nat?????
Wowwee, check the best players and stats!!!!!
Clueless, as for two soft goals Red, he got two yes, 1 through soft 50 and 1 in a non contest out marking hickey, so yes, I spose your correct!!!!!
Softest player in the AFL and still cannot lead us to a win, hasn't done for a long time now!!!!!
At least he got a couple of goal assists, which Josh Kennedy was really grateful for!!!!!
hickey 28 Hit outs Nic 18
Hickey 8 clearances nic 4.
We win the overall clearances for the game.
We are 16th on the ladder they are top playing on their deck.
Leading innto the game Nic the best in the comp.
go figure softy
No presence, way too soft, if your happy with that performance, well that explains a lot!!!!!
Another loss with Tom as #1, just keeps racking them up!!!!!
Your frequent reasoning as to why Longer should be our number 1 option is apparently his hitout tally, which is allegedly his strength over Hickey, despite the fact that he got his arse handed to him in both senior appearances this year and barely setting the VFL on fire.
Wait, that's right, we actually won a game with Longer in the team this year, never mind the fact that Longer had 7 disposals and 22 hitouts to Martin's 19 disposals and 42 hitouts and was named in the match report best.

True, was in Travis King's match report best, but so was Weller? Was Weller one of our best?

99 change hands, Stone dead
If you can count to 99, which is obviously debatable
Personally I would be shorting Longer because his value is in freefall
And the reason for that an again fit Hickey

Re: Hickey dominated Nic Nat
Come on. Be fair. Hickey spent a lot more time in the ruck than Nic Nat, because Lycett was there a fair bit. Ruck hitouts 38-32 Eagles way, Hickey did a few positive things around the ground ( and a few lacklustre things), and Nic Nat kicked 2, Lycett had a shot or two. I'd say pretty even in the ruck, which is an improvement for Hick against those 2. Longer is out of form, and until he gets it back (if), Hickey is the best choice.SydneySainter wrote: ↑Sun 03 Jun 2018 1:18pmReally? Re: Hickey dominated Nic Nat
Yes, very true. But if it had been the same stats but Longer in the ruck, then the Longer barrackers would be saying the same thing - 28 hitouts while doing the bulk of the rucking against a ladder leading ruck duo would be highlighted as the exact reason why Longer needs to be the number 1 choice.takeaway wrote: ↑Sun 03 Jun 2018 1:29pmCome on. As for shots at goal, since when have the Longer barrackers ever criticised him for almost never having a shot at goal?

Re: Hickey dominated Nic Nat
I am not arguing for Longer necessarily, but he is better at the hitouts than Hickey, and may well have had 45 hitouts vs West Coast. How many goals has Hickey kicked this year? About 2? Hardly an issue.
Anyway, Billy is not much this year, so happy with Hickey, but he does need to show more physical presence.

I didn’t see the game, so can’t comment on Tom’s performance. However, I have to say that nobody could be happier than old Jiggster to see the young man re-establish himself in the role of No 1 Ruck man.

Must have been some other big bloke in a Saints jumper playing in the ruck who helped get us back in the game in the last Q

Amazing what ordinary players can do when the opponent puts the que in the rack!!!!!spert wrote: ↑Sun 03 Jun 2018 4:37pmMust have been some other big bloke in a Saints jumper playing in the ruck who helped get us back in the game in the last Q
West Coast headed off the bye a qtr early, don't get to carried away there old boy!!!!!
NicNat in the best players when the heat was on, not needed for the sideshow, simple as that!!!!!
Still a another loss notched up for Hickey!!!!!

Yeah whatever, NicNat got votes of former players and footballing experts, so that's good enough for me, not at all interested in the opinions of a couple of keyboard cowboys, I'd really like to meet you two little turds, one day we may and let's satisfy my curiosity as to what little non footballing Nerd Types you are!!!!!IluvHarvey wrote: ↑Sun 03 Jun 2018 5:01pmCount to 99? Hickey was one of our better players?
or that you like gutter grovelling and taking pot shots?
