Hickey was good. We won the clearances against one of the better clearance teams in the comp.

Made a few blues, but we were plus 7 in clearances against the top team, so have to be happy about that!

Yep... he’s no Grundy, but Hickey can play. We finished with 7 more clearances, and he was very good around the ground.

Played Ok, Eagles ruck won more taps but we won the clearances. Hickey needs to contest in the marking duels more aggressively though.

Hickey is handy when he's on. I actually think our decent form in previous seasons was pretty much down to his form.

But he does appear to lack a bit of presence in some contests around the ground at times.

The problem is though, that he is miles and miles ahead of Longer in every aspect.

Even in a bad day, he's a better option than Longer.

Marshall is a fair way off, so while we wait for him, we really need Hickey up and about.

Hickey was one of the main reasons we had such a good last quarter- excellent use of handball under pressure at centre bounces. NicNat got a couple of lineball frees against Tom early. Probably the best ruck game a Saint has played for a while- especially seeing it was against the top team on their turf.
