Exactly. I'll keep our only decent big bodied mid and someone else can go pay $7M for an intercept marking non-defender. I'd rather spend that cash on an outside mid (or two) that can regularly break lines and hit targets but foot.
Of course they will want Acres, but we owe them nothing.

They screwed us over over Cripps promising to repay the favor latter. Then refused to clear Brown to us.

McGovern is a free agent, we don't have to give up a single thing if he wants to come. WC can match our offer but I doubt they will as they still have to re-sign Gaff, Lycett, LeCras and Mckenzie.
