If Jack had got straight up and played on - 1 week
Given Jack didn't get back - it may be 3 weeks

Re: Carlisle
Eyes were on the ball .
Arm was going for the ball .
When he saw JR mark , contact was then unavoidable.
Light contact was made but due to both players positions a concussion resulted.
I reckon it was accidental and he should get a fine .
If he played for sydney this would be the tribunal result.
As he plays for the Saints the deliberate malicious actions will see him get at least two maybe more .

Re: Carlisle
Should claim dizziness and lack of motor control after being kneed in the head by Fyfe. Despite a week off there are obviously lingering after effects

Re: Carlisle
No fifty indicates it wasnt late. Seemed to deflect off Riewoldt's arm, so hard to call it intentional. Fine to 1 week at worst.

Re: Carlisle
Is it just me or does JR whack himself in the head with his knee as he comes to the ground?
Carlisle's contact itself while high doesnt seem all that hard. The actual concussions was his own knee to the head

Re: Carlisle
Agree 100% with post re hitting his head on his knee. He might get a week if unlucky. The knock was self inflicted.
Could even be thrown out.

Re: Carlisle
1 week.
The head to knee knock was caused indirectly by Carlisle putting him off balance but it was bad luck.

Let’s hope this is pointed out vigorously by the club if true.
We didn’t say much in his defence over the Carlton-Murphy sledge last season.
I fear the league will come down strongly on him as they have him pegged as of poor character.
He gets no protection and the umpires don’t like him.
Nat Fyfe knees him in the head and the league is happy to accept it’s an accident.
He’s coat-hangered against GWS and the silence from the umpire is deafening. We miss out on our second win for the season.

Re: Carlisle
Cant see him hit his knee myself. Seems to go limp after contact which isn't a great sign. Contact is with forearm but fist nearly hits the ball. Careless but unintentional. 1 week at worst hopefully.bigcarl wrote: ↑Sun 27 May 2018 12:48amsaintpaul74 wrote: ↑Sat 26 May 2018 10:33pm Is it just me or does JR whack himself in the head with his knee as he comes to the ground?

Re: Carlisle
i've had harder knocks couch fighting with my cat - jack seemed to land very awkwardly. just can't see a forearm brush being the culprit.

Re: Carlisle
Its a fair whack. Looked like he collected his jaw and face. Maybe a bit of whiplash as his head jerks forward when his rear hits the ground hard.desertsaint wrote: ↑Sun 27 May 2018 1:02am i've had harder knocks couch fighting with my cat - jack seemed to land very awkwardly. just can't see a forearm brush being the culprit.
Riewoldts testimony will be the decider. I think he fell awkwardly cause he was limp.
Jack is a good bloke and has a reputation as a fair person. He will be the only one who could say whether he was out before he hit the ground.

Re: Carlisle
The club needs to get someone in the media talking about the own knee to head before Michael Christian brings down his verdict.bigcarl wrote: ↑Sun 27 May 2018 12:48amsaintpaul74 wrote: ↑Sat 26 May 2018 10:33pm Is it just me or does JR whack himself in the head with his knee as he comes to the ground?

Unfortunately cousin Nick is the wrong person.
It was late, but Jake had launched, he was airborne before the ball arrived in Riewoldt's hands.
His intent was to hit the ball but he launched from too far back and so contacted the head not the ball.
Reckless, head high contact, impact ???
Impact depends if the impact knocked him out or his own knee.

Most likely 1 week unless corruption is involved as per usual.

Re: Carlisle
It is Jake 2 weeks at least.
If it was Cotchin hitting Jake he could hit him in the head, kick him twice while he is still on the ground and then pull a knife out of his sock stab him and it would still be called insufficient force.
