Ins / Out’s this week: Hard calls / Future hope
In - Freeman, Rice, Battle
Out - Billings, Newnes, Armitage
Season gone, play some kids and show Billings, Newnes what is expected. Armitage unfortunately playing in gum boots and can’t cover he ground anymore.
Rice uses the ball properly, Battle will be better at AFL level and Freeman is ready.
Give us some hope Richardson, same time set a higher bar.

Freeman! Let's not bugger him up, he needs to get through another 2 or 3 VFL games before he can be considered. Billings form turned in the second half, so why would you drop him now?Rocket wrote:In - Freeman, Rice, Battle

I agree about giving some of these kids a crack but has dmac shown enough form to get a run at the seniors? I’d hazard a guess that he hasnt

Re: Ins / Out’s this week: Hard calls / Future hope
Neither has Lonie to be honest. But Lonie just does not work anymore at senior level.
Freeman is probably the "in form" guy at Sandringham over the past two weeks.
Billings and Six tackle Jack need some time with Sandringham to get some serious numbers up.
They are both too good for that level and should be able to show it immediately.
But the coach wont. Because he doesn't.
Replay of the Sandy V Essendon game is up..

I'm not sure Freeman is ready just yet but I agree with the rest. I'd add a few as well.

How did Sinc's go over the weekend? Didn't seem to feature much in discussions...he should be smashing it, Newnes appears to be holding his beer, so all he needs to do is step up.

Re: Ins / Out’s this week: Hard calls / Future hope
I understand the sentiment for wanting Freeman to play but not yet, it is a step up to AFL and we need to make sure his hammy can cope. Give him another month. Out of interest I see his stats but was he damaging? I.e. no point getting 30 disposals if they aren't to our advantage.
Not sure if Battle is Ready yet either. We all want someone who can kick goals but is his body ready yet. He wasn't great last AFL game from memory.
If Carlisle is out then we will need another big body down back, not another half back flanker, so i don't think Rice or White fit this bill. Maybe Gilbo slots in and we shuffle players around that way.
One definite change would be Sinclair in. Still not sure why he got dropped. Armo out for sure and Newnes is on thin ice so he may go as well
In saying all this what is the beat that Richo selects Lonie again?

Re: Ins / Out’s this week: Hard calls / Future hope
Battle actually flew to Perth as an emergency so he wouldn't have felt the best yesterday I imagine.
Freeman needs another couple of weeks. He is looking very good though. Phillips (1st game!) showed the footy world that if you're dominating in the VFL (very good comp) then it can translate into the AFL.
Special Fried was good also. Surely he will get a game soon.

Freeman has been a class above in his only two games back from injury, but give him another week at least.
Great hands.
Reminds me of Hawthorn's Mitchell, the current one.

Gawd how bad did Sandringham butcher the ball.
Just wow.
No to Lonie. Turned it over by foot four times in the second quarter alone.

Play Freeman a couple more weeks in the ressies to make sure his hamstring is ok?? WTF??
Consecutive 30 possession games says it looks pretty good to me!
Play him against the Filth and give the club, the players and it's supporters something to get fired up about

Alarming if true but the body language at ground level from players to Ticho spoke volumes to me just need that d7mb ass board to find a reason to admit they ballsed this extension up big time
