Errrrr in the “Disco day’s heyday” the old Jiggster was another hemisphere away! However....... I still have fond memories of going along to the Trevor Barker room to watch a few interstate games on the Big Screen! On one memorable occasion the Saints won and the whole room was chanting along “St Kilda! St Kilda!” ..... it bothered us not one iota that the players couldn’t hear us

I also attended two interstate games there last season and it was great! Good simple food, reasonably priced, and beer ! Plus good chats with other Sainters! It really IS so much better to watch the game with other Saints in our own Social Club, than to be alone on the couch!
And you can still do that at Moorabbin Social in the new building.
Sure can!!!!!

The trouble is remembering them stoney!
I think I was refused entry on a number of occasions. I can't recall why.
I do remember one night, after Dean Grieg had run amok in the Moorabbin mud, finding myself in the Presidents room. I seem to recall Greg Burns buying me a beer, so I must have been hallucinating, because that could surely never have happened!

*Allegedly.

No. But for a brief moment, we thought he might be everything.
Plenty in that category though.

Did lose a leg later on. Tractor accident from memory.

We did well in 1991 but for whatever reason lost Greig, through injury I think, Dale Kickett and and that ball magnet whose name escapes me who ended up at the dockers via Bears.

We were down 6o possessions a match .

Broke his tibia, playing for Scores by from memory. Leg got infected in hospital after surgery. Resulted in a BKA. Could've been a contender. All class, a natural footballer and ball magnet.

And second, a 's*** stain' contains a lot less s*** than Ocean Outfall!!!!!

Happy posting (while it lasts) and do yourself a favour and keep away from my posts!!!!!

Dean Greig (born 31 October 1968) is a former Australian rules footballer in the Australian Football League.

Greig played under 19s football for Hawthorn in the Victorian Football League (VFL) during the 1980s, captaining the team and winning its best and fairest award in 1985; despite this, Hawthorn did not wish to retain him, and it released him at the end of 1985. He trialled a pre-season at Collingwood, but was also not recruited to its senior list.[1]

In 1990, Greig played for the ailing Camberwell Football Club in the Victorian Football Association. He polled ten J. J. Liston Trophy votes in only nine games, and Camberwell coach Gary Brice described Grieg's performances as the sole shining light in a winless season which turned out to be the club's last in the VFA.[1]

Greig was subsequently recruited to the Australian Football League (to which the VFL had changed its name in 1990) by the St Kilda Football Club in 1991. On debut in Round 21, 1991, at nearly 23 years of age, he compiled a league record 39 disposals (23 kicks, 16 handballs) against Carlton, the VFL/AFL record for most ever disposals on debut.[2]

A strongly built midfielder, he didn't progress as expected, nevertheless managed some fine games with the St Kilda and was noted for his creative handball.

In August 2001, whilst playing for Scoresby Football Club in the Eastern Football League (Australia), he suffered a broken tibia and fibula and due to the onset of compartment syndrome and infection, had his lower leg amputated.[3]"

Can't for the life of me think why I thought it was a tractor accident     .

Skinner is Seymour Skinner, the principal of Springfield Elementary School in The Simpsons. Chalmers is his frustrated boss. The Skinner!!!!!! Call is Chalmers' catch cry, whenever he is about to chew Skinner out. The steamed hams sketch featuring the two is a classic. Look it up on YouTube.
