Who comes in this week?
Ben Long and Paddy are out this week
Who comes in, and who will kick our goals?
Do you we swing Carlisle forward and have a look at Austin or Claravino down back?
Maybe try Longer and Hickey in the same team, with Hickey resting forward?
Does Battle come in..?
We need to shake things up a bit, get experimental...

Re: Who comes in this week?
I would to see Phillips, Sinclair, and Battle for Long, Paddy, and Billings.
"...If there has been one recurring theme through this whole shocking mess, it has been the misguided, inflated egos and their ill-judged determination to cling to long-standing old boy friendships. The bad advice that has guided the selfish and culpable James Hird has not only punctuated this saga but symbolised it..."

Close enough...Richo said probably 2 weeks.MC Gusto wrote:Is paddy confirmed out?
Unfortunately, I can see Lonie pulling on his boots for Long. Not sure who replaces Paddy, probably Marshall as Battle hasn't excelled in the VFL recently.

Maybe his baloon was a bit deflated when his bag of goals didn't earn him a call up.degruch wrote:Close enough...Richo said probably 2 weeks.MC Gusto wrote:Is paddy confirmed out?

he could be the type who lifts when playing with better footballers.
I would give him a go.

Re: Who comes in this week?
Fkn Lonie.
Jesus.
I believe the word that I have read that described Longa's form last weekend was "putrid".
Battle for Paddy. Just do it.
Phillips in for Long. Sinclair in for Billings.
Gresh Lucky.

Re: Who comes in this week?
Out: Long (inj), McCartin (inj), Gilbert, Newnes
In: Sinclair, Austin, White, Acres
B: Webster, Brown, Geary
HB: Savage, Austin, Coffield
C: Sinclair, Steele, Acres
HF: Billings, Marshall, Weller
F: Gresham, Carlisle, Membrey
Foll: Hickey, Steven, Ross
Int: Armitage, Clark, Dunstan, White
No point in continuing the way we are going. For f***'s sake change things up and stop playing underperforming old spuds. Last chance for BIllings and that's only because Long is out. If not for his injury I would have dropped him as well

Re: Who comes in this week?
Just so long as we don't see Goddard or Austin, cause Brown-dog is killing it apparently… and it's only round 8.
In
Acres, Sinclair, White, Phillips, Goddard
Out
Paddy, Long, Weller, Gilbert, Brown.

Re: Who comes in this week?
I miss the forum's guess this weeks ins and outs regular thread... a poorer forum without p66!
Big changes for me.
Savage too one dimensional, Billings too out of form and Newnes just not damaging. Longer for Hickey against the bigger and strong Sandilands. Rice and Phillips to debut.
IN: Phillips, Acres, Sinclair, White, Longer, Lonie.
OUT: McCartin, Long, Newnes, Billings, Savage, Hickey.
White Brown Geary
Webster Carlisle Gilbert
Acres Dunstan Coffield
Gresham Marshall Weller
Lonie Membrey Armitage
Longer Ross Steven
Phillips Sinclair Clark Steele
Not gonig to happen and might get smashed by 10 goals... but is that any different to any of our other losses this year and last?

Re: Who comes in this week?
Over 3 games Weller is averaging 20 disposals, 5 marks and 4 tackles from half forward in a team that hasn't won a game. I don't think it's at all fair to drop him for a kid who has been named in the best once in the VFL this year.dragit wrote:Just so long as we don't see Goddard or Austin, cause Brown-dog is killing it apparently… and it's only round 8.

Re: Who comes in this week?
This is what saw Mav play 18 games last year. He played one good game and has then had 2 very poor ones.mad saint guy wrote:Over 3 games Weller is averaging 20 disposals, 5 marks and 4 tackles from half forward in a team that hasn't won a game. Paddy, Long, Weller, Gilbert, Brown.
Against Hawthorn he had 6 kicks, 6 hand balls, virtually the exact stats that saw Lonie dropped after only one game.
Last week he was woeful, while his 15 handballs are boosting his disposal average, they are flattering his output.
As a forward, Mav has kicked 12 goals in his past 23 matches… the guy is 26 YO and 110 games in now, I reckon we should move on.

Re: Who comes in this week?
we drop players like billings and newnes, send a message, and lose by ten goals.
Or we keep faith, the same things happen, and we lose by ten goals.
I choose option A.

Re: Who comes in this week?
I think Battle kicked as many as 4 one game, but had about a three week trot of multiple goals. Anyways, that's who Saynta was talking about. I'm not suggesting Battle come into the side, I think we can drop Marshall/Hickey down there with Skunk for a tall FWD line. I can't see a solution that's going to remedy two outs in our forward six (even if one hadn't done much for a few weeks) but I get the impression Battle's not quite there...and can't imagine getting potentially towelled up interstate will help his cause much.stonecold wrote:degruch wrote:Battle...he kicked a few a couple weeks back when we were going okay.stonecold wrote:Who and what bag of goals?????saynta wrote:Maybe his baloon was a bit deflated when his bag of goals didn't earn him a call up.degruch wrote:Close enough...Richo said probably 2 weeks.MC Gusto wrote:Is paddy confirmed out?

Re: Who comes in this week?
What i would like to see:
Out: McCartin (inj) , Long (Inj) ,Billings (terribly out of form), Newness (4 tackles for the season - really how come this only is realised now??) Weller/Gresham
In: Acres, Sinclair, Phillips, Rice, Battle
What i expect to see (soft option again)
Out McCartin, Long (inj)
In: Acres, Lonie
No accountability or consequence = same crap performances and smae results.
