I hope Seb Ross lines up on Mitchell and gives him a hard tag. I reckon a lot of Seb’s disposals are rubbish. If he is down on disposal numbers but manages to keep Mitchell quiet that will be huge win fir us.

Doesn't matter if he's a 5 time leading goal scorer coming off a 1000 goal season...stonecold wrote:Yeah, first week back, your gonna drop our two time leading goal kicker after one poor game coming back from knee injury?????skeptic wrote:He had 6 possessions on the W/E.stonecold wrote:Skunk is our best forward, posters whom want him dropped are fair dinkum 'Clueless'!!!!!saintspremiers wrote:As if Wrght would be considered. We need to bring back Holler For and Dave.
Out goes Newnes (thank god!) and Skunk.
I’d like to Skunk to find some form in the magoos (although they have a retarded bye this week)
Further good news is that James “Mafia” Sicily failed at the tribunal and is out. He had 28 posies vs Norf
Also, already reported re the Redstick from Hawthorn!!!!!!
Spose, will be replaced by a young guy whom carnt string together back to back decent games in the VFL!!!!!
if he's so unfit that at best he can give 6 touches a game, I'd have rather put David Armitage in a pocket. Pbly the difference between winning and a draw.
Why people think playing unfit players is anything other than moronic is completely beyond but our club just loves doing it.
Isn't this why we have Sandy.... to ease players back into it

I agree. Unless you're an A grader like a Jarryd Roughhead or Josh Kennedy from WC or Buddy or even Rooy, they should get their touch back after injury and gain confidence and fitness in the State leagues. Too many of our senior players think they're superstars
Same goes for Dylan Roberton, Jimmy Webster, Koby Stevens, Josh Bruce etc. Let them earn their spot back and at the same time, gain confidence by getting a few extra touches.

Great in theory, however, no VFL game this week and nobody kicking Skunky out of a spot!!!!!skeptic wrote:Doesn't matter if he's a 5 time leading goal scorer coming off a 1000 goal season...stonecold wrote:Yeah, first week back, your gonna drop our two time leading goal kicker after one poor game coming back from knee injury?????skeptic wrote:He had 6 possessions on the W/E.stonecold wrote:Skunk is our best forward, posters whom want him dropped are fair dinkum 'Clueless'!!!!!saintspremiers wrote:As if Wrght would be considered. Re: Saints big chance v Hawks
Seb had a brilliant game last week. I think the coach will have faith in Sebby because he'll get support. With the likes of Jack Steele and Mav Weller in the team there are a few extra options and all it takes is another ferocious tackle on Mitchell from Mav Weller early in the game just to soften up Tommy and make him a bit tenderZed wrote:I hope Seb Ross lines up on Mitchell and gives him a hard tag. Combination job by Weller and Steele will do just fine.SuperDuper wrote:need someone to do a job on Mitchell...

Outside that, we should have the edge I recon
Midfield clearances and clear winners are needed to make an effective forward line.

Well Armitage pbly could but that’s why it should have been done last week.stonecold wrote:Great in theory, however, no VFL game this week and nobody kicking Skunky out of a spot!!!!!skeptic wrote:Doesn't matter if he's a 5 time leading goal scorer coming off a 1000 goal season...stonecold wrote:Yeah, first week back, your gonna drop our two time leading goal kicker after one poor game coming back from knee injury?????skeptic wrote:He had 6 possessions on the W/E.stonecold wrote:Skunk is our best forward, posters whom want him dropped are fair dinkum 'Clueless'!!!!!saintspremiers wrote:As if Wrght would be considered. Armitage plays, we pbly win because he contributes more than 6 ineffective touches, Membrey plays a full game at Sandy without being a liability and had the opportunity to put his hand up for a return if he was good enough. Quite literally no downside.
Of course we did it your way. Unfit player, some game time, no positive impact, cost us 2 points, no idea if he’s any further along, and a bye this week,”.

Look to the following game guys.
Won’t get close to the Hawks down there.
Playing real average and never win in Tas.

When was the last time we played in Tassy at night?
I'm generally optimistic, but I fear this might not go our way.

Tribe about to leave for the 2 hr trek to Launnie.
Check in to the Ole Tudor, kick back for a few hrs with a Beer ( or three) and a bet.
Roll into a maxi taxi bout 6 and head for UTAS.

Good Luck Saints
Firstly I'm not sniping @ Gresh - He's on track as far as I can see but if he had a bit of luck go his way with that final Qrt. kick V's GWS he would be on 7 goals & we might have been on 2 wins. I know it's what if an' all but a 2nd. win would seem like striking gold right now.
Good luck Gresh &

Re: Saints big chance v Hawks
i reckon we're a more than a shaky chance. we demolished them last year and the previous year the umps saw the hawks scrape home, so the player should go in with some confidence.
obviously we need to convert our inside fifties. if we do i reckon we're near certs. unfortunately that's an if so big it makes our govts 'what if the banks aren't doing anything wrong, why waste money and time on a commission?' look reasonable.

Re: Saints big chance v Hawks
Sorry Guys - No chance of a win tonight.
- I have put $10.00 on us
- Sainter_Boy has put $2.50 on Paddy to kick 2 and us win
- but worst of all - my parents are coming over to watch the game!
Also - with 3 milestone games tonight - we will not be turning up to play!
But we need to do it for Tom Cairney - who at 14 died in his sleep. The keen AFL footballer wore the #22 Guernsey for the Devon Meadows Club, and in his honour, the club have retired the number. Devon Meadows wear the RW&B.

I think we’ll win...but I’m very nervous of a relapse.
Need to start strong and kick straight early. If that’s the case saints by 30 odd
