What’s an acceptable losing margin to GWS?
Can’t believe I’m posting this.
Way back in 2014 all I wanted to see was us winning one quarter per match.
I think we’ve managed to regress back down to that level.
I’m dreaming of us cracking the magical 10 goal mark - imagine that - a score of 10.20 ? (Assuming our standard goal to behind ratio)
Anyway, I’ll stick with us scoring 7 goals and be miserably content with that.
I also know we will go down by between 40 and 50 points.
At least we are consistent.
......over to you poochy if you still exist.

In theory yes if you are a top 8 contender or thereabouts, which we were preseason, but when you’re a lock for bottom 4, which is now our plight, it is different.Linton Lodger wrote:No loss is acceptable.
It’s time to readjust - saves getting too worked up on match day when we continually fail

Stuff the loss. We should be wanting to win every game.

Re: What’s an acceptable losing margin to GWS?
betting agencies have GWS at about 4 goals for the line.
$1.91.
Almost double your money- could be a nice way to pay off debts,
coupla hundred on the line

Of course we WANT to win every game. Just because we want something doesn't man it will materialise. Only a fool would genuinely think we are a chance this week. I don't care, I really don't. I just want to see some competitiveness. I haven't see that for awhile. We competed with Brisbane......

You're a chance in any game of modern day AFL footy as the comp is that even. The first 4 rounds prove this. 18th can beat 1st if things go a side's way. I just don't have a defeatist attitude I guess but each to their own. But yes, we aren't favourites and we may not win but we will damn well have a crack at it. The Saints need to respond!Moods wrote:parkeysainter wrote:Stuff the loss. We should be wanting to win every game.

You're right of course, we shouldn't accept a loss, but we're tracking really well, so we'll win easily.parkeysainter wrote:Stuff the loss. We should be wanting to win every game.
"Is this the right room for an argument?"
"I told you once."
"No, you didn't."
"Yes, I did."
"Listen, an argument isn't just the automatic gainsaying of anything the other person says, it's a series of statements designed to support a particular conclusion."
"No, it isn't."
"Oh, I've had enough of this."
"No you haven't"
"Oh shut up."

Can we kick like, 12 goals at least? Would be nice.saintspremiers wrote:Can’t believe I’m posting this.

(1) if we kick 12.6 - can’t see us having many more scoring shots than that.
(2) If Mav plays (need his forward pressure)
