Re: Alan Richardson - Has Not Delivered Diddley Squat in 5 Y
Give Richo a break. He had the worst list in the comp in his 1st year and has managed to get the side around the 11-12 win mark by end of season 5. Not really far off finals. Now he has one of the youngest lists in the comp to pick a team with each week.
If the Saints have a shocker this year, then Richo should be looked at at season's end which is normal process. But until then its detrimental to the side and club to be talking about Richo's position. Pointless really at this point.
We're kidding ourselves on a delusional level if we think some messiah or ex player can come in as a new coach and instantly get us in the finals.

He is a serious dud.
How he fluked an extension shows how inept our Board are.
Absolute followers.
They said 'oh we need stability like Richmond' so lets give the coach an extension.
Absolute morons.

It wouldn't let me post but what I wrote so eloquently was that this is not accurate in 2014 Richo had at LEAST 4 AA players and 3 or 4 guns. Sure they had a young list but coming off 2013 Nick had his best year since 2009, Steven was best & fairest, Armo in his prime, Roberton, Hayes, Fischer, Geary and Dempster playing defence like animals...Hickey had a mad year and new recruits Billings and Dunstan were brilliant.parkeysainter wrote:Give Richo a break. We won 4 games with that team. But it wasn't Richos fault. Then the next year we improved by 2 games and we applauded the man as if he were a genius...other teams were in the top 4 with equal talent on their list...and yes I am ready to compare individual stats of players on other teams...it was poor game plan, lack of ability to extract a ravenous hunger to win, a dearth in skill to develop youth.
It's the coach 100%. The worst part is those players are now spent and he can't develop youth but that's all we have ..and HE IS EXPOSED.
You seem to not get it. He can't help us. It's over. Get rid of him and hire a director of football and a new coach and carry on...IT CAN NOT GET WORSE! WAKE UP!!!!

Richo should pull out of his 360 gig.
Not in anyone's interests to see him squirm every week.
Funny thing is, he took the role in when everyone -- club included -- expected the Saints to be finals bound.
A gross miscalculation.

New position: Speech writer - after game message to fans; board updates. Need to know 23 versions of the word disappointing, can use foreign languages but no clichés. And try not to use the phrase "that's not what we stand for"....
