Very bad news for Bruce. Nasty injury and uncertain recovery time! His marking and hands in general have been awful this year and a lot of last year, not sure why he’s developed butter fingers. It’s certainly given mccartin a good run at it which may be a silver lining for our whole club...and give Marshall and hickey a chance to see how they go playing in the same side, something I’m excited about if Marshall can keep marking well and hickeys duck work is break even.

Paddy has just played three successive games, if that's not the first time that's happened in his career, then it must only be the second. Just what he needs. Bruce's injury is unfortunate, I reckon he would have been dropped anyway.

ST KILDA big man Rowan Marshall has been ruled out of facing Greater Western Sydney on Saturday as he deals with concussion.

Defender Jimmy Webster is also unlikely to play as he deals with a hip flexor injury, but is expected to be available the following week against Hawthorn.

In positive news for the Saints, Tim Membrey appears to have overcome a right knee injury and should be ready to return to the senior side.

Membrey trained fully on Tuesday and needed to get through Thursday's main session, and subsequently pull up well, to face the Giants.

Rowan Marshall ruled out this week.
Jimmy Webster unlikely to play, expected back following week against Hawks.
Tim Membrey likely to return.
