Yes something is adrift:
INTERCHANGE FROM*
1 Tom Hickey
9 Jack Steele
11 Hunter Clark
13 Jack Lonie
20 David Armitage
24 Logan Austin
27 Josh Bruce
33 Nick Coffield
*Three to be omitted
Which would be 5 on the bench! Same for Cats.

4 interchange and 4 emergencies. That’s the standard this year.saintsRrising wrote:terry smith rules wrote:Josh Bruce out according to saints website

I can't see it saying Bruce is out? He was wearing the green training top along with the other Sandringham players at training today.saintsRrising wrote:terry smith rules wrote:Josh Bruce out according to saints website

In the match simulation they started with Paddy and Marshall playing as the two key forwards.
Gilbert, Steele, Lonie, Coff and Hickey were in the black (Saints) training tops. Clarke, Armo, Austin and Bruce in Green (Sandy).
Not sure if it means anything, but that's how they trained.

No Nic Nat this week ...and the Cats have reverted to playing Stanley and/or Smith.
CH7 saying that Gilbert and Hickey will play....and that Bruce may not.

Looks like we're going with 2 Rucks, with Marshall mainly playing forward with Paddy, the rest of the forward line small.saint-stu wrote:I can't see it saying Bruce is out? So I reckon: Webster, Armitage, Bruce definitely OUT and Hickey, Steele and Gilbert definitely IN. The question is will there be another change, Lonie coming in for who?

Lonie in for Wright I assume. I forgot to mention he was in a green top and also listed as omitted.Linton Lodger wrote:Looks like we're going with 2 Rucks, with Marshall mainly playing forward with Paddy, the rest of the forward line small.saint-stu wrote:I can't see it saying Bruce is out? Saint axed: Forward set to feel Richo's wrath
Mitch Cleary and Dinny Navaratnam
Apr 12, 2018 2:14PM
FORWARD Josh Bruce is set to be the first victim of St Kilda's season of lacklustre scoring, dropped for Sunday's clash with Geelong.
Meanwhile, defender Jimmy Webster will miss the game with a hip injury.
It is understood Bruce has been overlooked after booting one goal in the past two weeks - the Saints kicking a combined 12 goals in losses to North Melbourne and Adelaide.
Playing as the second ruck last week behind Rowan Marshall, Bruce's omission could pave the way for the return of ruckmen Tom Hickey or Billy Longer.
With forward Tim Membrey already ruled out with a knee injury, the Saints could take in a smaller forward line for the trip down the highway to GMHBA Stadium.
The Saints are hopeful Webster will miss just the one match.
Jack Lonie is vying for a recall after booting 4.4 in last week's VFL win.
After kicking 3.3 and collecting 24 disposals in last week's VFL win, 193cm forward Josh Battle is being strongly considered, looking to add to his debut in round 17 last year.

Re: Team v cats
GWS, Geelong, Brisbane and Suns are the teams against which Lonie should do well due to the low tackling style of their gameplan.
A more important issue will be whether Hickey can actually be the main ruck with Marshall being a fwd/ruck.

Hard to argue with rewarding Lonie's good form at the lower level.fugazi wrote:Lonie in...honestly no idea!
A bit perplexing Battle was not given an opportunity, particularly with Membrey out.

Re: Team v cats
Competitive side in any case whoever comes in. Looks like the forward line is going to have a different look about it.
Hickey will come in. Was in Sandy's best and beat the 2 x Doggies reserves rucks.

Re: Team v cats
Geelong look pretty s***. Let's be honest.
Have a look at that side. A lot of kids and no names.
Whoever loses will be 1-3.
