Richos contract

Post: # 1718174Post Sainter_Dad »

Please tell me that Richo has been given an extension to his contract to go Carte Blanche this year without fear of losing his job. Please tell me that he is going to spend the year fixing the ship so that we can attack next year with the right cattle.

Please tell me the board had this in mind when his contract was renewed before it was due!

I think you know the answer.
He is still playing Brown, Geary, Newnes, Armo and he picked N Wright.

So no.

Watch his post match members video.

He’s a lost man and will need mental health help sadly.

I fear for his stability. He knows he’s dead man walking, maybe he will increase
his media presence and do the right thing and break his contract early and just move on.

Would be best for both parties.

surely we put a performance clause in there?
i don't want him to take us playing this crap to the spoon because our youth will be demoralised. they need belief that we are building. Perhaps play just the youth if we're to be thrashed anyway, then at least they can look back at the giants and maybe see a future?

If he was a year or so into his tenure, then fair enough, put faith in him, but he has had more than enough time to make an impact and we are starting to get ridiculed for our style of(or lack of) play.

The club needs to make a decision as to rewarding mediocrity in the name of supposed stability, or just do right thing from a corporate angle and remove those at player management levels who are failing and ultimately hit the bottom line of the club with falling attendances and general indifference to the club in future revenue areas.

Did I read where the coach and players locked away after the match, and not even the president was allowed in? This is early in the season and already we have crisis meetings, players are lacking confidence?? I think it's time for the board to take action as wheels have fallen off if that's the case.

I have long been a fan of Richo but this year has been a debacle. Unfortunately our recruitment in recent years has been deplorable and the single minded game plan of pressure just isn't getting it done. The forward line is non-existent and it appears as if he is losing the players.
We cannot have nights like last night, under 20,000 to a saturday night game at etihad and 7 goals kicked... no coach will survive with the way the club is headed.. reminds me of the Malcolm Blight era

He is a lemon, been saying it for a while. TMBK. The one we could afford, not the one we wanted, not the one we needed. In defence of the board, we wanted Beveridge, not the MBK. Throw in his band of Clouseaux, s*** recruiters and a poor physical preparation staff and you have a perfect storm of failure.

i have asked for big losses and got abused.

The club needed these games to see how wrong they are.

Simple.

I hate to admit, old bean, but you've been spot on all the way. We need some realists on the board, not Pollyannas. What are you up to? We need someone in the west.

Kinda highlights how Reiwoldt and Montagna were pasting over the cracks....these two old timers are still able to drop into our team and maybe even get a win or two

I think the idea was that the board anticipated a stagnation around now once Roo and Monty (the last of the old guard) finished up and wanted Richo to continue development without the pressure of having to scrap into the finals in the last year of his contract.

Whether he's doing it well or not...

I got banned from The Western Saints Facebook group,
for reasons of not being a blue sky optimist,
and being a Cassandra.
Round 8: all Perth Sainters sit together (we get a block of 500 seats)
and it will be interesting to see if I get gang-tackled and have my mouth
gaffer-taped before the first bounce

I am led to believe that the draft this year is the best ever.....

Perhaps that is the plan?

But trout will probably **** that up....

Not sure our picks will be great ( apart from the top 3 pick we are looking like getting off the back of this years performance)

Trout is a man who would buy these houses at auctions:
Termite-infested
Haunted
Asbestos roof and walls
Rising damp, mould and bacteria
A house sitting on a proposed major freeway extension

The owners were nice people though.
