Positives

Post: # 1717950Post The Fireman »

not many but...

Coffield
Marshall
we will get good draft picks again.
we will get a new coach.
Paddy will play in the 2's
Jake will go forward.
Newnes will play 2's

Negatives... 3 year wait for any hope of finals.

Wright NO (needs to make it this year or never)
Long NO for the 3rd time
Paddy NO for the 3rd time

Coffield YES
Marshall YES
Marshall will be a great centre half forward and second ruck for St Kilda, Paddy will be a great full forward in the VFL

Oscar Clavarino and Logan Austin and Hugh Goddard to fight for places in the side.

Longer is the ruckman you have when you expect to break even in the ruck and get slaughtered around the ground.
We need better.
We need Lewis Pierce or Tom Hickey to step up.
Otherwise we need to clear all 3 out.
If you want a premiership your ruckman needs to one of the best not a position where you expect to get beaten most weeks.

I'll be saving a fair bit by not paying for tolls, petrol, transport costs and the price of beer at the footy

No positives in that game .
Just the same tripe delivery served up with a bit more endeavor than last week .

No positives getting good draft position when our recruiters will pick another ordinary player which our dud coaches wont be able to develop.

Paddy was ok. Got his arms chopped regularly and wrapped up without reward.

Bains rooted us before he left by extending Richos contract.

Bains in terms of football was way overated.

Marshall had a real crack
Coffield was terrific
Great to see young players potential....just a year or two before they become second guessing turnover merchants like their teamates.

Bains didnt appoint the coach. That is the fault of the CEO and board. But Bains probably recommended it.
Bains was f****** shite for our club. Nothing but a self promoter and snake oil salesman. And now he is f****** over the Bulldogs.
Absolute hack.

Bains should have been shown the door the day he resigned - not allowed to hang around. Professional Club?

That's about it, I'm afraid.

Impressed with Coffield. He looks a class act. And Marshall.

We sorely missed a viable forward target such as Membrey and you may be right, it may have to be Carlisle.

Okay, delivery was crap and under pressure, but we had more inside 50s than them - 54 to 51 - and couldn't put it on the board AGAIN.

We have to find a forward - or several - who can give roeward for effort to the guys busting a gut to get it in there.

This. Amateur hour at the saints again. Skrobolak to coach against his own players  !

"Is this the right room for an argument?"
"I told you once."
"No, you didn't."
"Yes, I did."
"Listen, an argument isn't just the automatic gainsaying of anything the other person says, it's a series of statements designed to support a particular conclusion."
"No, it isn't."
"Oh, I've had enough of this."
"No you haven't"
"Oh shut up."

I think that made all the difference last night.

On topic, I was very impressed with Coffield and Marshall.

I thought the energy from the players and crowd was excellent in the first half.
