Ducked his head, CLEARLY. Same thing happened to an Adelaide bloke a minute later and it wasn’t paid either, but I don’t hear people here whinging...CURLY wrote:Learn the rules as Long is taken high play on Crows clear the ball.The_Dud wrote:This just shows clear as day your inability to judge the umpiring. Acres one one out deep gets headlocked clear free ignored commentators can’t believe it.
Maybe worry more about 2.7 instead of the umpires.

We need forwards who can kuck goals because we have none.

Don't even seem to have any who can kick a point at the moment...thankfully, Adelaide aren't shooting too well either, touch wood.Bruce G McAbee wrote:We need forwards who can kuck goals because we have none.

Re: Match Thread Saints v Crows Round 3 2018
The effort is there but the finishing is just so bad. Jack Stevens running at 44% efficiency. That is bo where near good enough.
Bruce and McCartin have hardly touched the ball and can't catch anything.
Marshall has gone oast both Longer and Hickey.

We are playing Better but we just don't convert. Coffield s smooth so very happy and Rowan is holding his own. Lots of positives so far. Now if one of our tall forwards could step up we will kill Adelaide

Would be nice to have Roo parked in the forward 50 right about now!

Can’t deliver a ball to a target forward side of centre circle....Coffield already looks like our best ball user.... that’s sad
Mcartin is just a decoy an absolute waste of a number 1 pick
Billing’s looks out of it
Again week in week out can’t move a ball forward haven’t been able to for years
“Yeah….nah””

Re: Match Thread Saints v Crows Round 3 2018
Two big blokes, Bruce and Paddy- no impact at all. Marshall is good, as is Coff. Gresh and Billings need to get the hard ball and stop waiting for the magic moment. The forwards have no idea what they are doing- is the forward coach on holidays this season?

Exactly right, we clearly dont have enough talent to fill the rooey void. It will take time.The_Dud wrote:Would be nice to have Roo parked in the forward 50 right about now!

Re: Match Thread Saints v Crows Round 3 2018
beating them around the ground but wasting it inside fifty as normal.
sincs 19 possessions (6 cp), but a bit sloppy on disposal (63%)
dunstan 18 (6) at 88% - where have you been son? just what this team needs.
savage 18 (3) at 83% getting involved.
Marshall has been worth about ten Longer's around the ground. getting beaten, but not embarrassed by jacobs. very promising. Laid 4 tackles as well.

Re: Match Thread Saints v Crows Round 3 2018
First half MUCH better. Lots of errors but lots of positive signs. Marshall holding his own against Jacobs.
Coffield looks very cool down back.
Geary , Sinclair, Acres, Steven, Ross, Acres, Savage , Dunstan all good. Mistakes yes, but much improved. Key defenders doing a great job.
McCartin , Bruce , Gresham , White disappointing. The effort is there from Paddy, but he cannot mark.
Billings is a conundrum to me. He is getting a lot of it, but most disposals are dinky handballs that do not hurt the opposition.

12 scoring shots at half time both this week and last. 2.10 and 3.9. How are they not fixing this, should have been the number 1 thing they worked on over the summer.

Amazing...forwards scoring!
From AFL feed:
"The Saints lead in forward 50 marks 7-5, but have returned only one set shot goal from these opportunities."

Re: Match Thread Saints v Crows Round 3 2018
Actually 6 out of the last 7 years now. Saints are the only club in the league to have lower frees than the leagues free average. WCE and Geelong are clear favourites with 10 and 9 years of their last 11 years being better than the league average. WCE missed a perfect record by just 3 kicks.Con Gorozidis wrote:Has been for about four years.The_Dud wrote:Goal kicking confidence is absolutely shot
Midfield clearances and clear winners are needed to make an effective forward line.
You need to protect the ball handler to increase posession efficiency
