Truth hurts. Can turn around real quick with the right coach and ceo. Hawks are already rebuilt in first 3 months last year. And the suns have nailed it punting rocket and bringing in Dew. We need change of leadership asap.

We'll probably bounce back against Adelaide.
An honorable loss or maybe we'll even win the thing.
Big deal.
They'll quickly be back to their old ways in the weeks after that.

Great article.
I hope the media not only turn on Richo but also Finnis for extending his contract last year.
So what if a miracle happens and we beat the Crows?
What happened on Bad Friday will hurt for a while yet.

Ouch!!! Dennim always has a knock on the Saints ... but he's about on the mark in my opinion.
Must admit I'm not quite as exited about the season as I was before it started. There's so much wrong at the moment it's hard to see us turning it around .... There has to be a review of some sort of the whole coaching panel..

I assume this is sarcasm. What possible reason would you think we could win based on our JLT or first 2 games. I hate to say it but I think that we will be 1-6 after the first 7 rounds.Waltzing St Kilda wrote:We'll probably bounce back against Adelaide.

Wow! Scathing, but absolutely on the money.
A more spineless and insipid management team I have not seen. They have filled the football department with plodders, so it’s no wonder we are so easy to play against.
If this club had any ambition they would do what Freo did to us, and go out and poach a coach from a successful club, rather than extend the contract of a guy who coaches like its 1988.
Whatever the Latin translation for “we are stuffed” is, that’s what our coat of arms should bare.

Re: Assessment in The Australian 2/4/18
Really, if AR cares about the club he should be "considering his position". He has failed to get the team up, as others above point out, in the last few really crunch games. He either has no idea why Friday's performance was so bad or disrespects supporters and the footy public by not giving a rational explanation. Game day tactics? Can't remember strategic changes other than trying to play Carlisle forward and back and Roo everywhere. I suspect one more performance like Friday's and he will be effectively gone - its simply not sustainable to keep being mediocre/poor. There has to be good available coaches out there waiting. Finnis and Lethlain will not stand for much more of the rubbishthat has been dealt up over the last two seasons invisible Pres. or no esp. when a couple of wonderful efforts show what the players are capable of. If there are not several changes against the Crows it will be disappointing, a word that may soon be translated to latin and added to the motto if we miss finals again.

I am still trying to get my head around the two year extension.
Why not just wait until the end of the 2018 season?
It made no logical sense.

Let’s give things a few weeks to see if the Roos performance was the rule or the exception.

He might be accurate, but he should be writing the same stuff about his beloved Bulldogs!
They stunk last season and have been non-competitive in their two this season.
Rumours of in fighting and a lingering cultural issue.
They won 2 more games than us in 2016...An unbelievable September saw them win a flag.
We won the same number of games in 2017.
Where are the articles condemning them?
As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”
St Kilda - At least we have a Crest!

Didn't he used to be on with KB on SEN? Could have sworn he was a Doggies man. Oh well...Most of the argument still stands.Jacks Back wrote:He barracks for West CoastLife Long Saint wrote:No footy journo writes articles without a motive...

His voice sounds exactly like Malcolm Blight's. Wait a minute, you don't think?........could it be? Has anyone ever seen Blight and Denham in the same place at the same time? Things that make you go hmmmmmm..........Life Long Saint wrote:Didn't he used to be on with KB on SEN? Could have sworn he was a Doggies man. "Is this the right room for an argument?"
"I told you once."
"No, you didn't."
"Yes, I did."
"Listen, an argument isn't just the automatic gainsaying of anything the other person says, it's a series of statements designed to support a particular conclusion."
"No, it isn't."
"Oh, I've had enough of this."
"No you haven't"
"Oh shut up."

He's right about our game plan, if there actually is one, we are basically unwatchable at times.
I saw this to in the JLT series, all of our defiencies from last year had not been addressed.
