Re: Saints v bears match thread
Game is on free to air up here cos we get all Lionsand Suns live. After a slow and boring start - I’m not in footy mode yet and the first ten minutes were crap - the boys are moving the ball well.

Acres, Billings and Steven all doing well. Long is manic at the ball, needs to settle but I have been impressed.
the invisible and the non existent look very much alike

See that the maggots are still cheating and refusing to pay most saints free kicks.

Arno shows why he was picked, Newnes going well.
Some hard work by Acres, Billings all class.

For Christ sake the umpiring has been fine, try taking your Saints goggles off and looking at it objectively

Re: Saints v bears match thread
If our midfield was worth a damn we could be up by 35. But when we can't win a clearance you can't win a game...but we will squeak by the wooden spooners maybe...then talk about how good we are and how too many are quick to judge...every year.

Dissapointed at this stage, nothing to get excited with, maybe I'm being harsh, first half round one.

Very ordinary. Seems the same problems we had last year have not improved.
Think of me long enough to make a memory.

Re: Saints v bears match thread
Still bombing it into forward line, Billy gives away too many frees and not getting involved in general play, we can't hit 15m kicks / handballs.
On the plus side we have room for improvement

Re: Saints v bears match thread
Rubbish 2nd quarter! Rushing way too much! Almost losing count of the number of opportunities squandered by a rushed handball or rushed playon! Zero evolution of the game style from last year. I can only assume this rush rush rush is straight from the coaches! Ffs dissapointing! Too many players running around like headless chickens burning so much energy for so little impact. Hope we get up but feeling flat after that half of footy

Re: Saints v bears match thread
Our lack of pace and poor decision making could see us lose this one. When we actually played football rather than handball late in the first quarter we looked but they seem to have forgotten that.

Re: Saints v bears match thread
Very rusty both teams. But for the koby bashes he has done well. Been involved in a few crutial plays and doing well. Long has laid some big hits but has kicked forward without looking a few times. Longer is playing like longer which isn't great. Paddy hasn't done heaps but he isn't injured so thats a win. hunter clark does not look out of place which is great. Bring on second half
