Didn't we just lose our media guy Josh Gabelic. Thought he was very good, not sure why he left but the timing wasn't great. We don't seem to be able to keep them very long but they seem to go on to bigger and better things eg Tom Morris. Don't forget in the past 2-3 years we have won an AFL best media award for a club.

I have a Triple R sticker on my car, red white and black, been there ten years, still looks brand new.The Linton Street Flash wrote:
The sticker thing is a pet peeve of mine - I have had mine on my car since Jan, my car is parked mostly in a garage, probably sees far less weather than most cars on the road, yet the sticker started peeling after a few days.
I see other Saints stickers on other cars and they too are peeling - from the exact same spot (top left).
This is the not the first time either, year after year it’s the same story.
Are there cheaper, crappier stickers on the market than the ones St Kilda purchase every year?? I doubt there are...
Is there a design that displays less thought, imagination and basic design skills that our current sticker? I doubt there is...
Stickers are a great marketing tool as they are a highly visible way to show your allegiances, but they are treated with utter disdain by the club.
The very same disdain that we supporters are treated with.
It’s pathetic.
I had to get some bumper stickers made a few years back for my business, I got them designed by a decent designer, and printed by a company that specialises in them - they’re dye cut, vinyl, with bright colours and after 2 years of exposure to the elements, they’re as good now as the day they were first applied.
They cost sweet FA too and they’re excellent.
This was my very first time getting stickers made - I put half an ounce of thought and effort into them and they are a complete success.
Why is it St Kilda struggle with such a menial task - a task they repeat year after year with the same hopeless results? What does this say about this club? To me it says a LOT.
Seriously Saints, lift your game - if you wanna be great then start thinking and acting great.
Sheesh!!
Saints stickers fade in a couple of months. cheap junk, as is the whole members package.
All other clubs do much better, especially Melbourne.
Old enough to repaint, but young enough to sell

Great OP - couldn't agree more on a lot of what you raised. The stickers are an absolute disgrace and I'm surprised that the club didn't do anything about that - arguably the easiest thing to resolve one would've thought... As a result of a poor bet from last year, I currently have a Melbourne 2017 Membership sticker above the Saints 2018. It will be interesting to see how things are looking in a few weeks... I'll take some progressive photos to compare the difference

Re: LIFT YOUR GAME SAINTS....
Seems a bit too quite on the media front from the club, but that, coupled with the crap JLT efforts, doesn't not inpsire confidence or enthusiasm.
Like me, a lot of other Sainters I know feel totally flat about this season- one mate says he won't be bothered coming down from the bush for games if the Saints play some of the "sh*t footy like they did last year. If that's one country supporter, then there will be more like that I'm sure. The club just needs to step up a rung in its promotion and marketing- just like the football dept needs to step a rung in results..

Its a shame when he was with the club the electronic media was competition leading. The club even won awards for their efforts. What a shame they couldnt maintain the same standard after he left as it made a huge difference to the clubs and supporters outlook.66Iwasthere wrote:Didn't we just lose our media guy Josh Gabelic. My new sticker is perfect.
In fact. last year's sticker was still fresh n bright as day one,
and took 20 minutes to remove with a sharp blade.
'Peeling'?
I could have left it on for 5 more years, it was that firmly stuck.
Not sure about the problem.

p.s.
the sticker design.
i am rapt to proudly wear that sticker, no issue for me with 'design'.
You want carbon-fibre or graphene
with a 3D hologram ?

My partner and I went around the city, trying to take in all it had to offer.
We looked to the east, the west, the north and the south...
To be honest, I’m not surprised someone from Perth thinks the design is a winner.
Makes perfect sense!
Look again it's the Flash!!

Is he actually gone? Was quite enjoying the Inside St Kilda podcast they were putting out, last episode wasn't that long ago on 15th Feb.Impatient Sainter wrote:Its a shame when he was with the club the electronic media was competition leading. Re: LIFT YOUR GAME SAINTS....
People need to start visiting the Saints FB page and not rely on the website. There is a truckload of content on there from the past 2 days. Its not hard to find. Just google St Kilda facebook for a link.

I am Melbourne born n bred, I have Victorian blood in my veins.
Although I have lived in Perth since 1998, my outlook, conscious and unconscious software
are firmly Melbourne and I will never become like the numpties who are Perth-born.
Perth folk have a combination of ADHD and Aspergers' Syndrome.
They are impossible to communicate with as it's like speaking to an eight year-old child.
