I'm no fan of Archie Fraser but he wasn't the only one responsible. What were the board doing? Sleeping?

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Easier to pin it on one person. Like most of these things, it's more convenient to focus on one culprit. I actually think that Frankston might have worked well. Unfortunately, we were sold Frankston and they delivered Seaford. Should have sent it back...SaintPav wrote:I'm no fan of Archie Fraser but he wasn't the only one responsible. Exactly. They could have kept something, anything - like the scoreboard for instance. A lot of other older grounds have managed to keep the grandstands etc, like Hawthorn, Collingwood, Essendon, Footscray, Junction oval, etc. It's a real shame.iwantmeseats wrote:Yeah, but there is NOTHING else left. I accept the huggins is shot and needs to come down, but they have given NO nod to the past that we once played there. Bad move.

Went in today my mate is the site manager who ran the project and showed me around.
Everyone was there, players and staff its a game changer.
Boys have up to date first class facilities close to desirable bayside suburbs to live in...
There is a Tony Lockett room, Robert Harvey room, Alan Jeans room, Kenny Whiffen preparation section all the great people from our club are honoured.
There is an amazing theater room, recovery pools, gymnasium, function center it has it all.
Its called the Gerry Ryan High Performance Center & the second section where SJMFL & the other co tenants will be ready at the end of this year.
I was told the 3.4 billion dollar man Lindsay Fox walked in & stated he is not giving a cent to this joint.... what is his issue?!!!
Onwards & upwards.....

I say bulls***. The place should be gutted and rebuilt into a Mecca. You can't destroy spirit so that will always live on.Jacks Back wrote:Exactly. In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

Gives his money to Carlton, apparently. Must be business related. More advantageous to have the crooks in your pocket , than show loyalty to your past club.saynta wrote:Par for the course for Fox. "Is this the right room for an argument?"
"I told you once."
"No, you didn't."
"Yes, I did."
"Listen, an argument isn't just the automatic gainsaying of anything the other person says, it's a series of statements designed to support a particular conclusion."
"No, it isn't."
"Oh, I've had enough of this."
"No you haven't"

Good to see several rooms are named after Saints greats and that particular wall was adorned with a similar respect to our greats. All the greats names are on the lockers which is expected, but its still a good touch at any footy club.
Also heard they might be planning an undercover area on the opposite wing with seating. That would be cool if its half decent.

Should have kept The Animal Pit - a sacred site!
The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.
They can even WATCH LIVE FOOTY!

Great vid Saintbrat.
Moorabbin is starting to look unbelievable. Pretty sure there is another stage going up.
Moorabbin will definitely help draw in and retain quaity people on and off field for the club.
