Is there training there next week? (after mar 19th)
Where can you find training info online also please?
Can't wait to watch the boys at the new Moorabbin.

Going in stage 2 I believe and then there will be nothing left of the old Moorabbin except the location. Not sure why we couldn't keep the old stands for vfl matches. Carlton, Collingwood, Essendon stands are still there.

That is brilliant, absolutely brilliant!

There will be such positive vibes emanating out of that facility.

Well done Saints.

Pretty sure it will become too unsafe from memory according to engineers. It probably is now! :D
Not worth the upkeep and risks involved. Time for Moorabbin to move into the 21st century anyway!!
The joint now looks unbelievable already.

I pretty sure the Huggins stand is coming down the week after Easter. The old stand is that dilapidated that it’s really nothing more than an eyesore at this stage.

Yeah, but there is NOTHING else left. Its great and elite and modern blah blah, yes...but its going to be/is soulless.
They left nothing at all, zero...zilch. History just wiped out.
I accept the huggins is shot and needs to come down, but they have given NO nod to the past that we once played there. Bad move.

Yeah, but what can they do then? Everything that was originally there had to come down and be removed.
Every true Saints fan knows we once played there. It would be cool if they built a bit of a museum or something like that. Maybe they have something in the works in that regards.

I reckon the kitchen drawers will large. The trophy cabinet......not so much.

"I told you once."
"No, you didn't."
"Yes, I did."
"Listen, an argument isn't just the automatic gainsaying of anything the other person says, it's a series of statements designed to support a particular conclusion."
"No, it isn't."
"Oh, I've had enough of this."
"No you haven't"
"Oh shut up."

Oh well.
Plenty of history from the Saints origins to now could be put on display. Plus all the clubs legends across the years.
It would be great.

I’m assuming everything’s in storage from the old museum. If you’ve been through that, it’ll be pretty similar.

Thanks. Hopefully they do it up well (the new museum) and add alot more over the years.

Whilst it’s a shame not to keep the Huggins Stand reality is that has been derelict for years with no upkeep. We simply can’t afford the millions it would cost to restore it to a safe, useable condition.

There’s no point bitching and moaning because that is fact, plus we need to reduce debt and focus on the new facilities.

I’ve never visited the Seaford Playcentre/poor excuse for a training facility. This is the first time probably since 1965 that we’ve had modern training facilites that are industry standard.

I’m also looking forward to seeing my name, along with others, on the donation board. I’ll even have my grandather’s name up also (even though he has been gone for several years) as he is the reason I’m a Sainter. That, along with other names will preserve a special personal history for a lucky few.

For others, I’m sure there will be pictures and other artifacts as a memory of the past

I'd be happy if they built an old-school looking stand from scratch to seat and stand a thousand or two to view local games , VFL games and house people for prelim training thurs night. Would add to the charm of the place and prob only cost a couple of mill. Unfortunately our club doesn't have a spare two bucks.

Great idea. Maybe meet in the middle and landscape some really nice areas on the outer wing...even install some free council electric BBQ’s to pay homage to the old days on the wing there.
Would love a basic scoreboard installed on the flank with a windsock flying.
There’s lots of little things they could do around the ground to give it a little bit of old Moorabbin feel.

Would love to know how much the move to Seaford and the move back home cost the club.

Archie Fraser, that old local bat who was NQR and the Kingston Council should be ashamed. Wasted years and money. Thank god its all over.

Surely there is a grist surplus? Or is it a shortage of mills...
