Still tracking for a 60-80 point loss. Maybe a little less if Demons rest a few in the fourth quarterSainternist wrote:Finally kicked a goal in this second quarter.

What's Carlisle been snorting?
3 handballs and not even one mark when the ball's been up there heaps.
Must've swapped jumpers with Brown!

feel for our players - hampered by an awful and predictable gameplan of long bombs into the fifty. often to a tall or two talls with no one on the ground to swoop on the scraps. sorry, but our coach doesn't seem up to it.

At least a third of our list is not AFL standard. Thanks you genius, Elshyte. Seven years of your handiwork. but you're a good bloke, apparently. I beg to differ.

"No, you didn't."
"Yes, I did."

"No, it isn't."
"Oh, I've had enough of this."
"No you haven't"
"Oh shut up."

Incredibly harsh on the forwards. The entries are poor.1966 wrote:A lot of worrying signs.
Forward line is not working at all. 3 big forwards maybe unworkable. No forward pressure or ability to keep the ball locked in. Bounces straight out every time.

Will we do the usual thing, make a brave comeback, get withun 2 goals then fall away badly in the last 15-20 minutes.
Think of me long enough to make a memory.

Fuckn hopeless. Most of the Dees goals have come about as a result of turnovers caused by dropped marks, fumbled balls or freekicks from bad tackles.
Long session ahead on that performance.

The only press I've been seeing this week is what a great guy Gears is and tons of articles on Coffield/Hunter looking ready after playing the Carlton under-18's last week.chook23 wrote:we have been drinking our bath water through the pre season...........

Re: JLT2 Match Thread Saints v Demons 2018
Can't kick, can't run, can't stick a tackle, can't hold are mark and everybody is blaming the bad performance on the lack of a game plan. Let's face it most of our players are not capable of following a game plan and very few have the skills to be playing at this level. So all you posters that are down on the coach please tell who could do any good with the players we have out there.

Lucky we signed Ricoh for an extra 2 years.
This re-build has been a failure. Carlton started long way behind us and have already gone past us.

Re: JLT2 Match Thread Saints v Demons 2018
well, hope we get the kid from GC, atm Membrey is our only option up forward, Bruce and Paddy just not up to it. all in all ... not a very good side and not a very good game plan.
a long year ahead ... soft at the contested ball and disposal at times makes me cringe.
only a practice match ? jam that crap where the sun don't shine.

Re: JLT2 Match Thread Saints v Demons 2018
Might be harsh but 3 tackles between McCartin, Bruce and Membrey suggests it is a deficiency. If we don't mark it it bounces straight out. Not sure it's going to work.Beno88 wrote:Incredibly harsh on the forwards. The entries are poor.1966 wrote:A lot of worrying signs.

Clark again looks like a smooth mover and can actually pass the ball directly to one of our guys.degruch wrote:The only press I've been seeing this week is what a great guy Gears is and tons of articles on Coffield/Hunter looking ready after playing the Carlton under-18's last week.chook23 wrote:we have been drinking our bath water through the pre season...........

Our bombing into the F50 if woeful.
I don't think our coach is up to it. You can only be positive and pleased for so long. To win finals you need tactics and an actual f****** game plan.
As ex-president Peter Summers said:

I bet Melbourne are laughing that we overlooked Petracca.
