Update

Post: # 1710856Post tony74 »

Been a while so I thought I would give you a bot of an idea of how we’re tracking. Big training session today with full match practice umpired by Proper umpires. Basically all took part. Only a couple of boys not taking part with minor twinges. Macca has a rolled ankle, and Billy a slight calf. So as for Freezer. Certainly hasn’t broken down, had a slight hammy twinge last week so based on his history it’s slowly, slowly does it. Did all the pre match drills etc just didn’t partake in the match. As didn’t Juice or Newnesy who are still building up to full fitness. Think Steele will have a big year as will Longy.
Arno is as good as he’s been for the last five years, fingers crossed.

Thanks Tony,

few queries - how did the rookies/ new guys look especially Coffield i.e. out of depth or handling ok. They are kids so I don't expect much for a while.
What did you like about Long. Always thought he was cooked last year with too much footy played.
please tell me they have lessened the handballs and are kicking straighter

Nice update. Very appreciative for a bit of inside knowledge. Good to hear Steele, Armo and Long are looking good.

Nice to know that crap about Freeman 'breaking down' was exactly what it was, crappola.

Sounds like hamstring ‘awareness’ for freezer.

Whilst this may not be ‘breaking down’ it doesn’t bode well given his history IMO

Coff and Clavarino ( in particular ) look just about ready. The others will take a bit longer.

Thanks Tony - greatly appreciated, as always.

Interesting that Coffield seems to be ahead of Clark. That accords with various observations on the "Draftee Update" thread on this forum- including some pre-draft observations.

Thanks Tony. I love the look of Clavarino. A classic, "I can't believe we got him at pick......" type. Absolute bargain.

"Is this the right room for an argument?"
"I told you once."
"No, you didn't."
"Yes, I did."
"Listen, an argument isn't just the automatic gainsaying of anything the other person says, it's a series of statements designed to support a particular conclusion."
"No, it isn't."
"Oh, I've had enough of this."
"No you haven't"
"Oh shut up."

Thanks Tony. Was that the main hit out before the JLT or will there be another where us supporters can attend? Hopefully on a weekend.

Thanks Tony. Great to hear the boys are looking good. I'm worried for Freeman though. Would love to see him get a game in the ones early this year but the interrupted pre season is always going to put him back. :(
