Re: Paddy another injury
Its only a minor ankle injury and he will miss a few weeks to start training again in Jan. He won't be the first player before Rd 1 no doubt.
They pretty much said its not really going to do any harm to his pre-season and fitness.
Can't wait for the fickle Paddy bashers!!

So what he rolls his ankle. Ain't the end of the world. Certainly not a bust.

Foot sprain.
I don't know....like the OP, the prospect of him stringing together the games that it would require for his talent to really emerge, seems remote.
Hope like he'll I'm wrong. He is certainly trying hard enough.

Perception is reality. I hope Paddy is rewarded in the long run but if not it just provides opportunity for Marshall and Battle, Goddard and maybe even Clavarino or Austin via a move forward for Carlisle.

I know its a very negative outlook but I just have a feeling this is going to be the continued story of Paddy's much shortened career.
Thankfully we will have other options in Battle & Marshall.

This seems both inevitable and predictable. Just when you thought he was going go smash it, he gets another setback. Poor kid. Can't take a trick. For those of you that think this is of no consequence, think again. A month of his preseason will put him firmly behind the 8ball. I feel for him. He seems cursed.

"No, it isn't."
"Oh, I've had enough of this."
"No you haven't"
"Oh shut up."

Somebody reported thaf at the B & F night, Paddy had lost heaps. Maybe he's ahead of everyone because he was fraining so well.Drake Huggins wrote:This seems both inevitable and predictable. Re: Paddy another injury
Pretty disappointed he'll miss the next month. We've got some must win games between now and Christmas. Hopefully Battle can step up and replace him, we can't afford to go into January on the back foot.

Storm in a tea cup. I get the club is aiming for transparency but the reality is he has a minor foot strain and needs a few weeks off. The boys have time off for Christmas anyway. Could’ve gone virtually unoticed but now there’s even more pressure on the lad.
It’s december, relax.

Someone stepped on his foot in a handball drill and injured it. How on earth does that make him a bust?barwon saint wrote:Another injury not training till after xmas.I am starting to think Paddy is a bust !

Perhaps he should train in a bubble suit?

Nothing to worry about.
Medical genius Spud Frawley says it is all fine.
Someone just pushed Paddy off balance.
Given this will never happen in an actual game of football we can conclude it is nothing to worry about.

Do you look at dead bodies for fun. It’s called sprained foot. Could happen anytime to anyone. Maybe it was the diabetes that caused itCon Gorozidis wrote:Nothing to worry about.
